The live version is intense. She has to stop and restart because she starts crying within the first couple words

I didn’t even see that you posted this! This song is so heartbreaking. I get so annoyed when I see people make fun of Demi and their addiction.

"There's gotta be someone" Demi's team at the time was so restrictive, they locked her up in hotels without a phone so she can't call for food delivery, didn't allow her to eat any sugar even on her birthday (she was only allowed watermelon with whipped cream), became a poster child for sobriety and overcoming eating disorder when she still struggled and wasn't fully better (which put a lot of eyes and pressure on her), and more. There was family... But in my opinion, her mom fed her struggles and ignored a lot, especially while Demi was growing up. Demi tried talking to her team about these thoughts and expressed she was fearing relapse but was pretty much ignored and not helped the way she needed. The people who helped her become sober and get better in the first place ended up creating a prison for her that she didn't know how to escape.

She recorded that song 4 days before her OD. This is one of the most powerful and sad song i've ever heard. A curious fact about this record is that those are pure raw vocals.

Crazy that she wrote this song shortly before she overdosed. And the live version that she performed when she was finally able to perform again? Hard to watch without getting choked up. She got a standing ovation for it.

They wrote this right before they overdosed. The whole song makes sense having that understanding and knowing they were in a very dark place. You should check out the live version from the Grammys a few years ago 😭

Demi wrote this 4 days prior to the 2018 OD it was a cry for help. Then it was the first song she performs and released. She kept the original raw vocals didn’t polish it that’s why you really hear the emotion

She's suicidal. Not everyone can be understood. Especially not when they all want everything from you.
