+Kevin Maya I know, especially since she's been improving/sounding better the more she sings it. I don't know if it's from practice or different technique or something to do with her voice, but she doesn't seem to crack on some of the notes as much as she did on SNL....although I love that performance too just because it made the emotion more real.

@robminshull9938 жыл бұрын
Because she released it as a promotional single I think beforehand. So she's been performing it alongside confident on shows such as SNL since October so it doesn't have that 'this is new lets play it!' feel. Plus it's not very often ballads make the top 20 and as Demi's previous singles didn't really have much life in the top 20 then it kinda suggests Stone Cold won't, especially as people are still on the Adele hype so I think the timing for stone cold isn't doing it any favours either because of the other songs on the market. To add to that, although she sings it amazingly live etc the song itself doesn't quite follow the formula necessary for a hit song. The song title isn't in the chorus, which makes it hard for people to remember what song it is even though you hear her say 'stone cold' throughout the verses as people's brains are wired to hear the memorable lyric in the chorus because that's what they've been conditioned too so people less likely gonna remember it to buy it.
@robminshull9938 жыл бұрын
+Rob Minshull although Katy Perry's dark horse was a huge hit and had been a promo single it never really lost that 'oh we've heard this already' and the only reason Katy released it as an official single is because it had a life of its own and she kinda had no choice but to do so because it was gaining so much attention. I think Taylor Swifts out of the woods is a good example to support the 'promotional single' argument too. Had she released it as an official single straight away with the album release then it would have become a hit but it peaked at 14 or something for a week when it was a promo single then fell off the next week so when it came around to being a single over a year later people had already bought the song when it was a promo single so radio were like what's the point in playing it when there are other songs to play that people are jamming to right now on their iPods etc.
@robminshull9938 жыл бұрын
+Rob Minshull and the music video for stone cold didn't have a lot going on and as streams, especially music videos, are of increasing importance in today's climate that also let the song down. Less interesting video = less = less people rewatch if = less people share it = less potential-non-fans watch it = less streams = less points towards the Hot 100

Demi killed it, but I gotta give kudos to Brad too.... I wouldn't have been able to play guitar while standing next to Demi belting out those notes like that..... I would've kept getting distracted by the sheer power in her voice, so you gotta give the man props for killing it like he did; even with simple guitar solos, they actually added something amazing to the performance!
@vincentreyes61542 жыл бұрын
The man has 3 Grammys and 15 CMA Awards under his belt, so he's got some cred. And he's played with other artists such as Mick Jagger, John Mayer, Carrie Underwood, and John Fogerty from CCR, so Demi is not the first star he's performed with.

I think the problem with Demi's last record is that she presented it in a very sexualized way (cover art and first single choice) when she really can let her voice do all the work : she has all the right cards to be as serious and professional as Adele... Most artists use the sexualized version of themselves to compensate the lack of good pipes and Demi certainly doesn't need that...

rather she wants to show the world that at last she's and feel confident and I'm tooooooo proud of her, she overcame all of the ghost that haunted her when she was through a really distressing adolescence as me and thousands out there

+Rickinthedark Peralta bahahahahaha!!! "Distressing adolence like many of us out there"?!? WTF??! You serious? I don't think many of us earn millions a year like she does... I think I could easily cope with a distressing adolescence with all that money! !!
@ricardom.peralta59178 жыл бұрын
My point is that sometimes our fears don let us move forward and we get stuck and frustated because of that, but once we get through that shit we want to conquer the world as to compensate for all the wasted time and we wanna show the world we've grown both spiritually and physically and no one could do harm to us, this is like a psychological issue, if you've gone through this you'll understand, unfortunately not all of us have great talents as to make a big name for yourself but certainly we can get along
