This is my vocal analysis of Demi Lovato's Sorry Not Sorry performances on tour back in 2018 and on tour currently, in 2022. I put clips together to examplify my points from Demi's both tours and how she is doing now compared to before. Hope you like it.

Honestly, i think Demi is in their vocal prime rn because of THAT ease with the high notes they are having, stronger head voice and VERY audible lows like the D3 in confident and the Eb3s in Holy fvck, also the A5 attempts are WAY better in 2022, even the "bad" attempts sound pretty good to me!

@@grandeflamesbutera3949 Demi voice clearly recovered after resting for 3-4 years (only having a few performances between those years) plus in 2016 - 2018 Demi also had multiple bad habits and we still called it their vocal prime, my guess is that they got a vocal coach and they are working on their mix now, and even if in 2021 Demi's voice got darker due to smoking, they stopped doing it and rested. their voice is darker now not because of a vocal damage but because she is 30

She seemed to have more tension in 2018 tour compared to this 2022 tour. She's trying to balance more the resonance or sound, she's adding a little bit more vibration happening to her nose, enough that it doesn't sound nasal but adequately near-balance!

@@grandeflamesbutera3949 Not really. Her A5s seem to be more open and effortless. The past A5s in 2018 most of them are extremely chesty which added more tension compared to 2022 it's free. Don't forget that this tour's set list has constant high notes and is likely slightly more challenging compared to the 2018 tour. Staying high in substance climax, staying at 5th octave in Eat Me's multiple choruses, Skin of My Teeth extreme bridge, SNS high notes, Heart Attack high notes, Skyscraper, 4 Ever 4 Me climaxes, rock high notes kick in like in Remember December, this rock vibe makes Demi enjoy more of the song instead of thinking about her technique, she tends to like not care of her technique and just sing madly as she can which is in the aspect of rock and many more. Those were probably the causes of her vocal fatigue and she constantly got sick.

2017 and 2022 are the best tbh, not a fan of most 2018 attempts, only 3. I dont understand what is good about the LA in inglewood it didn't sound very good she has better ones this tour. Just my opinion tho! Great video!

SNS comes after a lot of the Holy Fvck songs that were fast and a lot to keep up with, plus older songs. It's just a little after the middle of the set. And the "Sacramento" (it's actually Wheatland, edge of Sacramento) concert was days after Demi postponed a few concerts and said their voice was completely gone. I was at that one and was so worried but it was great.

it's weird, the A5 in 2022 is a hit or miss whereas back in 2017/18 she was always consistent with this high note but she does seem to have improved her vocals overall.

Imo, Demi sang all parts of the song equally well on both tours (except for the climax; Demi sang the bridge better during the TMYLM tour while the A5 and the adlibs after were sung better during the Holy Fvck Tour).
