Demi Lovato - " Warrior " ( live for the first time )

Demi Lovato performs her song "Warrior" live for the first time at Red Light Traffic's Dignity Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, hosted by Don Lemon on October 18, 2013, an event dedicated to raising awareness to fight human trafficking. She told the audience it is the first time she's performed the song live, and that she didn't even rehearse it beforehand.

This was a perfect performance because of all of its emotional imperfections. If you listen to the line, "I've got shame, I've got scars," Demi didn't sing it. That is probably one of the most bluntly honest lines in the song because she is admitting that yes, I have took a blade to my skin and I have scars to this day because of it. She is a warrior for herself but she also has the strength to be a warrior for me and the rest of her entire fan base. I look at the interview where she says that she will never perform this song live because of its emotion, but then I look at this video and she's on stage singing her heart out. That is true strength and courage.

Guys this song is about getting over all the things she's went through, not about rape or sexual assault. It's the sequel to Skyscraper, she's talking about all the bullies, demons, and her past. But she's over come them all which is why this song is so meaningful. And also that when she was bullied she was insulted so much. Society in school forced her to visualise and to try to change to become their idea of perfect.
