I blind-bought a 40 ml bottle of Ambre Nuit some months ago. At first smell, I found it a little too “rosy“/feminine, almost “grandma-ish“. But after a couple of wearings I've come to absolutely adore it. It is very well blended and smells very natural and classy. I also blind-bought a 75ml bottle of Layton which has instantly become my signature scent. As a result, I had to order a new 125ml bottle a couple of weeks ago 😧. Now I'm saving for PDM Darley. I had a sample and will get me a full bottle by next spring. Thanks for your reviews. They have been a great source of inspiration and good buyer's guides. I am glad that you stood your ground regarding Pacific Rock Moss, I got my sample yesterday in the mail and I don’t care if it sounds like an overstatement, I have never experienced anything like it with a fragrance. Everything about it was special, the scent, the performance, the versatility. After the seventh hour the fragrance was still pushing out a parade of notes, mainly geranium, sage & cedarwood and the drydown lasted on me all day. Needless to say I got home from work and I ordered my bottle. This is a unique, niche quality fragrance which is worth every cent of its cost. João Ribeiro I had a sample of hermes edp and i really liked the fragrance, it lasted a long time on my skin, it a very citrus opening , then it dries down with a woody note, its a really good fragrance which i will pick up a full bottle at some point but not got round to it yet. if you are unsure i would buy a sample first before opening the bottle and decide for yourself. Hope this helps

I found a friend that had the edp hermes. Sprayed it 2 hours ago and smells amazing. I will wait a few hours to check the wood. My friend told me that it lasts 24h in his skin. Loving the citrus wood. Any other fragance you recommend?

New Subscriber over here. Seen a few of your videos and you have amazing taste (just saying lol). Green Irish Tweed is by far and away my favorite Creed (much better than Aventus IMO). It's my all time favorite scent actually. Another one you'd said you thought was great was Bleu De Chanel EDP. I also love that one very much. And of all the fragrances I've tried thus far (which is a LOT!)? Those are my top two. Green Irish Tweed is definitely my number one. But Bleu De Chanel is amazing scent as well. If you like clean/fresh ones check out Nautica Voyage, if spring/summer had a smell it would be this; apples and fresh cut grass near the sea front. I've never smelt it on anyone around me but it picks up compliments and people asking me what it is so other people seem to like it. It's also incredibly budget friendly at between £15-20. Doesn't seem to have massive lasting power, but it lasts longer than some fragrances costing 3-4 times as much.

Quickly, I love that you also like CH Men Prive-my fragrance for date three. I love it! Also, I LOVE YSL L’Homme also but I find it so subtle I’m afraid others lose it in the numerous odors of everyday life. I wear it frequently, but if I wore it with the hope of impressing a woman, it would definitely be where we were in a tight confined space, like watching a movie on the couch or a small booth for dinner. On your suggestion, I have tried Creed Irish twice, with my impression being lukewarm-not as good as Aventus. But based on your enthusiasm, I’ll try it again-we have a similar nose. And I can’t find Tom Ford Oud Wood anywhere locally. As always, our different locations seem to create some different exposures. You always cite a few with which I have no familiarity, which is great! More fun hunting them down. Please, keep reviewing Men’s fragrances. You add a lot to the discussion-and the fun of exploring fragrances!

Tried both the Aventus and green Irish tweed, and I totally agree green Irish tweed was better to my nose. Love the list by the way.
