Okay so i watched this mv a billion times because the song is so good, but i also interpreted a lot from the video! I might not be right, but this is kind of what i got from the mv and lyrics: 1) When the song starts off, notice how a cloth is pulled off of demian and the instruments? this same cloth is then placed back on him and everything in the room once the song finishes, almost as if someone remembered something, and then tried to forget it, or cover it up again. 2) Cassettes are a thing which can only play the same thing over and over. While broken cassettes appear in the mv, demian also says at 1:04 "the way we used to fiddle with our lips, our fingers, only you can rewind" which could mean that the person he was with was rewinding and remembering the same moments they had with him, over and over, like a cassette! 3) There were also parts in the mv where demian said that many memories of him made the person uncomfortable, and the person acted as if them and demian are strangers, even if they arent. This just kind of solidifies everything i found above, because this person doesnt want to talk to demian again, and while they act as if theyre strangers, this other person clearly still feels something for demian. They're trying to suppress it in real life, but cant control their mind as much, which is why they probably end up 'rewinding' the same moments they had with demian. I love how the pre-chorus builds up to such calm and sensual vocals and instrumentals while still being the opposite of anti-climatic. I've been listening to to song for a few weeks now while my mom is driving me to school. School, going places in general, gives me huge anxiety and I often can't get out of bed to even get in the car. So these days that I've been able to get outside and go to school I always listen to this song while looking outside the car window. It's surprisingly helping me calm down and feel less sad. His voice is very unique and calming, and how could I skip beautiful, totally never done before, perfect just.. everything?? My voice has gotten really bad since I find myself not being able to talk with people and I'm also in recovery from bulimia, but one day I wish I could make a cover of this song. To have light and beautiful vocals is a big wish for me, I also wanna be a rapper. Demian's voice has inspired me a lot. Thank you

i have been feeling depressed for the last 4 years. music is almost the most important part of my life but these days everything just seems soulless for me. now i can't listen to anything except for 4 songs. one of them is 'cassette'. i swear this song sounds like something really personal and that makes it so soulful and meaningful for me. i'm really grateful since it helps me to cope with my bad condition. (i listen to it every night when i suffer from insomnia and it kinda gives me some good emotions) i am REALLY thankful for demian. he is such an inspiring person. hope he knows that. i can tell he will be a great artist. The white noise worked 2 out of the 4 times I tried it, so I'm still not sure :) I use a playlist on Spotify which called "baby sleep aid: white noise" and I quite like it. I tried nature noises, yoga and even music but it's not good for me: nature noises sometimes make me want to pee 🤣 And if I use music I like I can't help but sing to it and then I'm awake 🤦‍♀️ That's okay! Don't be sorry 😘 That's really common, it happens to me all the time! I hope you do too! And thank you very much 🥰🥰 You made me smile too ;)
