i think he needs a little more of a clear instruction on things. He seems to want to leap into the jumps right away, and he needs to be taught how important a proper warm up is. And with him needing to sit before the canter transition, he needs to be told that clearly. Have him come over to you and tell him because sometimes in the moment, its hard to be able to clearly hear what people are saying. And make sure he gets taught to steer, and hold the reins correctly. He cant just let popcorn go wherever he wants, because the longer you let him do that, the more he'll do it after Harlen's been corrected. but i think he's doing super well for have only been really interested in riding for a short amount of time, and i can tell he's really trying :) keep it up!

i think he is only still learning and you dont know what is happening when then cut the vid so i yes he has done same things that most good rider do but he is only litte/ sorry ab the spalling

@@kittyfan7315 i understand that, but while the camera is recording, Harlen is clearly not following instructions, but they all just laugh about it. he shouldn't be getting away with doing things that could be bad for popcorn, like wanting to jump a fence before he's even warmed up.

This is Popcorn’s forte, teaching kids how to ride. In time Harlen will be a fabulous rider. He’s coming along so quickly. And he is quirky, like the pony. He’s got really good balance. Super impressed!

Perhaps this was just for fun but I agree with you. Harlen’s definitely at an age where he can manage proper lessons and it makes me a little uncomfortable that this is potentially a little damaging to him - so MUCH praise and building up that a proper lesson with an instructor might bring him down to earth with a bit of a harsh bump. He’s definitely got potential but he’s not being given any useful or productive instruction!

Demir is not only handsome, but he is super charming. He maintains his poise and composure when in training session with novice riders. In Demir's position I personally would have gotten a bit frustrated and felt disrespected and would have excused myself at some point. Well done Demir!
