Great tips and video, keep em coming. You've inspired me to do maybe do the same.:D I'm an artist turned coder, and it seems you're in the opposite situation, my suggestion is to start modeling small items, like loot type objects, such as potions, chests, coins, crates, barrels, swords, staffs, shields ect... and then move to static environment objects, like statues, framed pictures, and furniture. The modeling is important, but making UV maps for each model, and understanding how to match and hide your seams is key, as knowing how you intend to unwrap your model will dictate how it is created in the first place. Just some friendly tips, Good luck, Dan.
