Demo 19/03/2021 - Flip & Stitch - Quilt As You Go (Part 1)

This week Wendy shows you the fun technique of Flip & Stitch, using stripes of fabric to create patchwork blocks but with the added bonus of quilting the block at the same time as you stitch the top pieces together. Also known as ‘Quilt As You Go’, you are joining the 3 layers - patchwork, wadding and backing - whilst you create the top patchwork layer. This allows you to create amazing pieces of work in no time at all. Or you can simply use the technique to make many blocks which can be joined together to create a entire quilt. Next week Wendy will show you how to accurately join the quilted blocks together but for now why not have a go at this super speedy technique.

Excellent tutorial thanks. I'm going to start stacking up quilt as you go blocks for my own quilt. I'm making for everyone else's at the moment and this will help me use up scraps from the projects and give me a treat at the end.
