I am a bit curious though if there is any good example demonstrating when you cannt do something with github actions that you can do with creating a github app. And visa-versa. Because at this point i am familiar with creating github apps so i just stick with doing them. It really does seem though somebody advanced in using github actions and just using github actions does not need to even learn github apps. And visa-versa unless you can correct me on when it becomes significant to do apps vs actions.

I do thing github apps are more straight forward for the person who likes using github api and a programming language with rest calls ...etc. But then there are some people that arent coders and maybe prefer using a script yaml style creation method instead. I am just trying to look for a significant reason to do one vs the other. Thanks for any discussion on this difference.

I guess i should probably think of apps vs actions as similar technology that complement each other. And in alot of ways get the same job done in different ways to go about it. So depending on your business flow one way could be easier then the other at times. But there really nothing that stands out because dependabot app could have been design as a github action as well.

Is there a way to retrieve Githubapp Client_id & client_secret during the installation process ? In your example you store them in env variables it seems.
