Hi Vishal. Thanks. Amazon doesn't provide any Free Tier for trying EKS. However, Google does provide $300 credit and hence i use GKE for my videos. Also, i believe if you know once platform, you can flip to the other easily if you understood the basics essentially well. :)

Hi Ajay, Can you please let me know how client and server are communicating in same pod. Like, when you are trying to access server api in client which hostname you are providing in client application Example : localhost:8083/rest/hello/server at the place of localhost:8083 what hostname you are specifying so it will build the connection with server in same pod Thanks & Regards James

If you look at the diagram here - github.com/TechPrimers/cloud-native-meetup-observability-demo The client is what we connect (using load balancer IP address) and client talks to the server using "localhost". since its localhost, it checks within the same Pod.

@@TechPrimers Thanks Boss. Actually I used the localhost with wordpress + mysql combination but in that case it is not working with localhost. But when I tried with spring boot application + mysql container with localhost then it is working.

Try with 127.0.0.1. i have seen Sometimes it works with IP than localhost

@@TechPrimers It worked after recreating web container two three time. Basically both MySql and Web container is starting at same time that's the reason, Connection refused error is getting initially.

AWS is feature rich. If you need to leverage all features of cloud then i would choose AWS. If i have very limited scope for the app, i would choose google for the developer experience
