Demo Tape From Abandoned Radio Station WHJJ/WHJY/WSNE

I recovered this 20-year-old tape, found on the floor in a back room of the abandoned WHJJ Newsroom in East Providence, Rhode Island. It's the only tape I took, and there's more but I did not save them. It contains four songs by an unknown artist in an unknown band, likely recorded at this studio. No further information is known. Uploading for archival purposes.

something like a remastered version of any of these songs would be very cool but also very hard. it's so low quality and the lyrics are really inaudible except for a few minor things that i can kind of make out like "i'm freezin', don't lock the door", but it'd still be a fun idea. these songs are actually pretty nice, the low quality of them gives it a bit more of a charm and i dig the sound of it. it's a bit unsettling though

The third song sounds familiar, like it reminds me of another song, but I don't know what said song was called. There are just so many unidentified songs out there, "Like the Wind/Check it in Check it out" being the most famous one.

Listened to the first one several times, and came up with what I could hear for lyrics. There's still spots where I can't quite understand what he said, but I did what I could. It seems like a song a pastor might have sung at a Church, and tried to get it on the radio. If someone knows what the ??? are or if you think I got something wrong, let me know. I hope we can find this one some day. I really want to hear a clean copy of it. Apparently this station played adult contemporary & Top 40 hits from the 50s until the 80s, when it became talk radio.

Maybe. There's over 100 tapes still at the station and it's being demolished soon. Only issue is it's a bit of a drive from where I am (Rehoboth MA) and there's always the risk of getting caught by cops or running into a homeless druggie inside with a weapon (it's incredibly easy to get in through the back window)
