You are spot on there. This is the light duty version, great for filing, fettling and most light work. The heavy duty version has a leg to the floor. :)

What would you suggest for a carpenter then. I cant see my chopsaw tablesaw and dust extractor working with metal racking. Is it more for electrical and mechanical guys

Sortimo racking works best with its own boxes and cases, but companies like Bosch and Hilti use the L-boxx system that fits straight into the racking. We have done many designs for carpenters and builders where we create spaces for chop saws and dust extractors. They can be fitted in places like the space behind the driver, under a shelve, or by fitting load securing rails to the bulkhead, side wall or end of the racking. Making access and loading easy. The racking can then be fitted into multiple vans over many years meaning the upfront cost pays for itself over time. Thanks for watching. Mark

Do you have a presence in USA ? I am looking to design layout for new van for 2018. I am particularly interested in layouts for locksmiths, in a high roof van, which will be on the order of a Transit High Roof or Sprinter High Roof. Though I realize everything is customizad from an array of standard components. A starting point to work from, or a checklist help design would be of great help.

That would last about 5 minutes by me before some smack head work shy twat nicked it, he would have to have a bit of cash on his hip to pay for the fuel, I bet it only does 10 to the gallon with all that weight on board.Must say it all looks very nice though I would get one if I could afford it.

A set up like this would be around £4.5k. Most Sortimo systems we design are in the region of £2.5k. It's definitely a long term investment. Thanks, Mark,.

Apart from the extortionate prices of Sortimo, it adds far to much weight to the van.

Thanks for your comment. I have just quoted for a customer that needed a lightweight solution, he also got quotes from all the other major manufactures and Sortimo came out the lightest. A fully racked van would be around 140 KG
