People like 2 better, but this one is faster and more intense, better reflecting SSF2's more extreme fast-paced take, not to mention that crisp, beautiful beat in the background. Smash Brothers as a whole is a game about representation, though mainly of it's participating representatives, and this version of the menu theme better represents Super Smash Flash 2 as a whole.

Funny. I actually Menu 2, also being the original first menu music to SSF2. I find that version feels more faster than this one. This version maybe more tense, but it also doesn’t have that energy and feels more depressing. I feel it’s trying to be like Brawl, as SSF2 was originally based after that game. Though Brawl Menu Music has more energy than this despite having to being more serious compared to other Smash Bros menu music.
