Good operator on that Manitowoc 4100W crane. He doesn't waste time, hits blow after blow with no hesitation between blows. Systematic demo of this reinforced concrete building: punch through floors first, then knock out exterior walls. Once floor slabs are sufficiently punched through, it's easier to get the walls down, as rebar connects both walls and slabs. Looks like he knocked out portions of exterior walls lower down on the building between floors, as indicated by the double horizontal lines, first to weaken them, then later work on floor slabs. Looks like that building was built to last, and the operator really has to work at it. Love the sound of that Cummins engine in the crane. Crane and ball demo still has a place in the demo world, even with high-reach hydraulic demolition excavators now available, especially in the hands of a good crane operator. It takes skill to operate a friction crane like this one. The operator has to use both hands and his foot, his hands on the levers for the hoist drum clutch and swing, and his foot on the hoist drum brake. Gravity takes over when he lets his foot off the brake pedal. He doesn't have joystick controls as there are on a hydraulic demo excavator. He has to be careful not to have that ball hit the boom. How heavy is that ball being held by a tire ,doesnt look very safe ?
