I am making a guess after you did 4 sets on the .22, I would think that the recoil that generally causes a slight barrel lifting force, would cause the tip of the droop to spring up with good enough timing to avoid being struck, basically it self centers, as there is just enough droop to spring ration. But I also think you will hit a point where you get a baffle strike, so there is probably some sort of sweet spot that some mathematician can figure out. *edit* and my theory of why you starting getting baffle strikes when shoulder fireing, is because your body isn't holding the rifle as rigid as the vice, making you absorb more energy, changing the flex of the barrel and also you where swinging the rifle, which would mean the barrel would have momentum vs being at rest before each shot.

For a mathematician to "figure it out", it'd only be specific to one gun with one ammo type and one specific length. They'd have to run thousands of tests to figure out the balance for each gun, ammo, and silencer length. I don't think it's worth it 😂

@@kaidwyer Not how that works, once the gas has accelerated the bullet to its top speed it keeps expanding in the suppressor just like it would in the air without one, if anything it probably gained a little bit of velocity just like with a normal suppressor. Of course the baffle strikes would slow it down, but other than that there's no reason that it would.

@@andrewbell7696 The heat dissipation probably correlates with the sound reduction, but I doubt it's a linear relation, least of all 1:1. The heat dissipation depends on the suppressor material, rate of burn, length of barrel, etc. These things have a lesser effect on the sound reduction.

The Honey Badger is overpriced for what it is, I know people who could buy multiple Honey Badgers right now if they wanted and they’ve bought Sig Rattlers and/or B&T APC 300. These are guys that own 10+ suppressors, multiple Knights and HK firearms (both brands are overpriced in my opinion but still excellent products) and they wouldnt own anything Q. Where the notched aligned probably not. He could have put the 22 with some stilt so it didn't bounce after the shot even then it still worked I didn't think the sub9 would cycle but it didn't and didn't he was worried it would drop even it it did because of gravity it would take some distance usually it would not travel true because of the baffles bouncing upland down after the fire. That was insane. If he had a stable table to hold it up and had every single one lined up with the Notch I'd like to know which ammo wjoch barrel and twust abd length is the best. I really thought the sub was going to be an issue and I'm sure it would be after a certain amount because its heavier and slower i wonder what woukd hapken with the CCI Quiet 22. I actually used that and it cycled so well. Yhey crimp it so well. My federal ones suck they dont cycme and its says it won't. But CCI not only does it feels strong out the gate like a regular 22. and test for noise decimals per foot. What was the lowest you can get with that length. If you have seen the inside of some surefire surpressora there cuts or slits after the first and as it stands the side walls get smaller so they can fit like 16 baffles in a 7inch can then u see square notes on the tops where they stack I'm not sure what that does. But I always though Surefire makes the best in terms of overall designs. And first flash reduction i think the cap has so much to do with The flash but the stacking too. How they stack them the distance with the side walls is really important. Anyone know what those square notches do on the tops of each baffles they are stacked. Does it leak a but of gas out. Mostly SS. I think that's the smart thing because there's all sorts if ss now and some are stronger and they use really light metals too titanium is very light and strong but its not good to heat it alot. Loses its strength It's not like knivess vg10 v2 9chrvmore like 410 440

Remember, with the Erector 69 you need to make sure you have permits for multiple States because the moment you point that thing you will probably cross multiple Borders. If after shooting no bullet exits the barrel, it does not necessarily mean a misfire, do not watch down the barrel remember that it takes the Bullet some time before it reaches the end of the barrel (a bullet only travels at around the speed of sound after all). If you load up the first couple of cartridges in each magazine with the little blue pills (Viagra) replacing the normal bullets it will fix your drooping problem. Just be aware that continuing to shoot it for periods longer than 4 hours may pose a serious risk and you should consult a Gunsmith.

I think the reason you only got the baffle strike while holding it is cause when it was tied down, the barrel wasn't swaying. However, when you held it, natural slight bodily movements happened causing the suppressor to sway while the bullet was shooting causing the baffle to get struck. This would actually be a pretty cool idea to completely silence a .50 bmg if you had supports to keep the suppressor from swaying.

When matt touched the baffles and some of them where "cold", thats the point of diminishing returns. All the energy you lose from sound and velocity is converted to heat in a supressor.
