This is my favorite song from this album. It just speaks to me, and in this age of how music is, that's what truly matters. How music makes you FEEL, opposed to how much everyone else around you likes it because it's the "newest" or "hottest" "lit" track. Just listen with your heart.

On the surface, this music feels pretty underwhelming and by-the-numbers. My initial feeling is 'nothing special'. But it's bringing up some nostalgic feelings and memories, even though I've never listened to it before. It's surprisingly addictive, and reminds me of happier, simpler times when discovering Metal with my friends was exciting and inspiring. Of unwrapping CDs and listening from the first-to-last track based on nothing but how sick the artwork was. Maybe we're spoilt for choice now... Everybody can search for their specific micro-niche band, skip ahead to the most popular 20 seconds of a track and then discard it just as quickly as they found it. No falling asleep to a CD you've just bought, or sitting around with your mates on a first listen, trying to tab it. Nothing has time to get under your skin anymore. I miss the innocence.

I kinda miss the rougher, edgier, more, idk, brutal feeling from thier earlier stuff. Demon hunter used to be a lot heavier. Theres onsies and twosie songs these last few albums I liked, but theres a ton more filler than there used to be. I consider True Defiance and The world is a Thorn to have been the band's peak. Those two albums absolutley blew me away. The ones before were great, those two were absolutley amazing, everything after has been..... meh. I buy em to support the band cuz these guys music got me through two wars and a ton of bullshit in a pretty fucked up life for over a decade, and I feel I owe them, but I can't really get into the new stuff.
