On top of the aforementioned benefits you also get to use shadowmeld which can save a unit or two

I think it does, but natural hp regen is usually too slow to matter.

NE units regen 0.5hp/s at night but have 0 regen during day. HU and OC regen 0.25hp/s at all times for reference. UD regen 2.0hp/s on creep but 0 when not on it, for fun. @@Gromash26

NE vs UD is the most unbalanced MU in the game statistically. It's a joke, and DH/moonwells isn't close to coil/nova statue. NE is good vs orc and equal w human in current patch. @@michaelk9080

Maybe MG over Bears? He already had Destroyers so just stealing away your Rejuvs and Roars. Plus MG is spell immune like dryads so he can only Coil Nova your heroes

He unsummened his first altar for a better start(extra resources), that is his 2nd altar he is just summoning in for tech or 2nd hero. (you cant get a lich from the tavern, only revive)

Maybe he unsummoned it at some point? Then... resummoned it? Perhaps it was an accident (made a 2nd alter, unintended unsummon, etc), or some 5head move for a bit of necessary resources. Idk, but I did find it weird.

I thought the same thing. He might have sold the altar to afford his expansion? Seems weird but I don't know any other option since this was the first time Grubby even saw the base.

wow I had a complete brain lapse there. of course you can't. but man, that does not seem worth it. he lost resources overall and put himself at risk (an early rush could see he has no altar and just all-in his hero for the gg).

@@Kaydin66 he lost 90/25 by doing that which in a long run is nothing. However, he gained 90/25 in the early game which is quite big if you're fast expanding. It's almost a nerub tower upgrade and overall around 10 seconds faster expansion depending on how many ghouls he left to gather lumber. Also at that level micro is good enough that hero focus usually doesn't work especially with the amount of ghouls he had.

Can someone explain me the demon hunter merdusa hero combo?

Naga (medusa) is really strong at lvl 1 when compared to the other heroes, in this situation he wanted a power spike to get an advantage on his opponent who invested in the expansion. plus it's generally good with DH because the slow gives control on the enemy units while DH provides only dmg and sometimes good tankiness (depends on the items and evasion)

the combo can also completely shut down opposing heroes. they're slow, have reduced attack speed, and no mana.
