@partytarm Calm yourself...this has been a long time coming. The seams are coming undone, the systems formed by our people torn down by the kin of the creators. In the end, as you take your final breath, all you've said and done should enter your mind. The key is to live a happy, pure life, regardless of your beliefs. And, if you're lucky like me, the music you love exemplifies those beliefs...like Demon Hunter. Such an incredible sound...
@Furzkampfbomber15 жыл бұрын
@xShadowxLinkx I absolutely agree, what matters is the heard behind the music. I think the music of DH is very powerful and I am not even christian. If someone want to reach me with a message then it is most certain that this will be with something I like and understand. I like metal and I surely will never listen to any "graceful" music. But I DO listen to DH´s music and this music can reach me in some sort of way. It picks me up where I am staying and this is what matters in the end!

I first heard this and thought "Woah! It sounds like Bullet for my Valentine's vocalist/guitarist teamed up with Slipknot's drummers, guitarists and singer. Especially on the chorus. Anyways - I'm SOO glad I finally found a Christian band that sounds good. Oh! and to my fellow headbangers - "Eternal Decision" (if you're interested) sounds like the band "Metallica" (An amazing secular band)\ \m/ Keep Rockin' fellow Christ-Heads \m/

@1986dakota you were born in a good year (thrash era) :P keep it real man, and yes i agree STRONGLY with your point its from the heart the enemy has such a tight grip on metal and give a a few years, and tables with turn god is moving not tommoro not next week but now. so therefore the enemy must not want this genre to go. So lets take it from his hands and rejoice in it. Jesus FTW

@1986dakota Psalms 150 is pretty clear if you ask me. Basically says praise him however you want to whether it be with a harp or with clashing cymbals. You seem think that the sound of the music determines whether it is holy or not. So if I took some Christian song and kept the lyrics and notes the same but changed the sound of it to a hardcore level it would suddenly become unholy?

Brings back memories of when I used to be into only "christian metal." Now the only christian band I like is sacrificium, I hate most christian bands now because they worry about the lyrics before the lyrics, I used to be big on DH but now they just aren't my kind of music. Check out the band sacrificium, I think everyone here would like them, only good christian band IMO.

right on homelessbum38. Couldn't agree more. If it's good music, then listen to it. Why should religion hold you back from enjoying good metal? I mean hell, I'm Christian but I love Dimmu Borgir and they're about as Satanic as can be. Also doesn't stop me from sporting my Slayer hoody with pentagrams down the right sleeve.

@MrBluedevil0913 1.Yes, but SOME music can (not must) cause big emotions, which, in case of people with not big will may cause bad effect. 2.SOME songs have evil texts, like killing, condamning, rasisim and anti Christian texts. 3.As you sad, Christian music is something superior, but it doesn't mean that other songs which aren't evil (look: 1. and 2.) are bad- they are normal songs to enjoy, and they OK, they are good.

Don't wanna start yet another argument, but I have something to ask about these guys being criticized by old-school Christians for being a Christian band and playing this style of music. Isn't the whole point to reach out to other people? The old timers that think all music besides Country Gospel and Hymns are evil are very narrow-minded. A depressed teen with an outlook of hopelessness would typically turn to this music, right? Why not have a good message behind the music, even if it is hidden.

@BlackLordOfHate no where in the bible does it say you have to listen to christian music its a choice you dont have to go to church even though its good to and it feeds the soul
@nibsabbath182516 жыл бұрын
Oh, I definitely understand where you're coming from. But the idea is more along the lines of allowing other people to hear it. Believe it or not, there are people out there who have never heard about Jesus or what he has done. Or they don't understand or just simply don't know. It's those people we are trying to teach. The people who strictly don't believe, yeah we're trying to reach them too. And those who think we are repetitive. On the internet there is only so much one can do.

No, learn to think before you talk, I'm saying if a god wont accept me for who I am then he isn't woth my time, and how in any way am I rejecting him, if god wanted us to do everything he expected then wouldn't that make him pretty selfish. I think we were put on earth to find out who we really are and what we can accomplish, not to worship god every moment of our life. Any band christian or not should always worry about the music before the lyrics.
@BlackLordOfHate13 жыл бұрын
Listening to techno, metal or hardrock is a sin, but only when lyrics are counter-Christian.Evg. techno.Listening to these types of music is bad, beacause it may cause u are furios, u hate something etc.It can also cause u can be possesed by devil. But when band is Christian and sings Christian virtues it ISN'T sin. I love hard rock and heavy metal, I have not so good nick.... but I'm always trying to be better Christianiteer and I spread Christianity and Jesus everywhere, I've experianced Him
