Basicly it's about the choices we make and when we make them.And that sometimes in our lives we don't see when the tide began to rise and we end up in a place we don't like and can't change much. It helps to remember that things will get better eventually. If you’re dead, you lose all opportunities for literally everything. If you press on, the sun comes back up sooner or later. It’s so easy to get fixated on the darkness in the moment, and that makes it hard to be optimistic. Most of the time it really does suck, but that means you just need to trudge through it. Try talking about it with friends and family. It’s a really hard thing to do, since it feels like you’re leaving yourself open, but it might help.

However, I like the chorus on the CD version more...I do realize that it is probably hard to recreate that acoustically though. Still rocks!
