I'm not a very religious person at all, but this song means a lot to me. I feel like i'm sometimes unnaturally caring, and put too much of myself into making someone else happier, and when its never returned, or ignored, this song is how i feel.

This song reminds me of John 15:19. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. I believe it is about that, and about a Christian seeing the world for what it is

Basicly it's about the choices we make and when we make them.And that sometimes in our lives we don't see when the tide began to rise and we end up in a place we don't like and can't change much. I personally like "If this is all the love my spirit can give Just take it back tonight There is not a reason more to live... " makes my eyes shinny and some tears apear:)

I'm agnostic, but Demon Hunter was my gateway to Metal, Hardcore, and even Punk. Religious or not, they are the reason why I go to shows and why I'm very much involved in both Metal and Hardcore scenes. They have made my life a lot better than it could have been, and I have that to thank them for.

I was in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday night (12/11/12) and this is the song I was listening to when I was hit. The lyrics basically narrate the story for me. I don't belong here I never saw this on the path I walk The blood-stained walls, the lines of chalk on the floor It's getting so hard I never saw the backlash when the tide began to rise I can't remember The way it was when everything felt right My mouth held shut and eyes sealed tight with control

I have a serious problem with depression, where I would contiplate suicide. I keep fighting to this day... this song helps.. But fuck am I tired... If no one knows how it feels that's fine.. "if this all the love my spirit can give, just take it back tonight. There is not a reason more to live."
@edgyswordsmanmusic67695 жыл бұрын
It helps to remember that things will get better eventually. If you’re dead, you lose all opportunities for literally everything. If you press on, the sun comes back up sooner or later. It’s so easy to get fixated on the darkness in the moment, and that makes it hard to be optimistic. Most of the time it really does suck, but that means you just need to trudge through it. Try talking about it with friends and family. It’s a really hard thing to do, since it feels like you’re leaving yourself open, but it might help.

Not sure which version I like more...this or the original...I like the sound of the acoustic and the lack of the distortion...that always makes me think it's a bad recording...lol. However, I like the chorus on the CD version more...I do realize that it is probably hard to recreate that acoustically though. Still rocks!

people says that heavy metal is shit, the singers just scream like demons or even dogs and they think that this wonderful music isn't it , music, but you know what? this is a prove to those of them who think like that, heavy metal is more than music you bastards it is sentiment. Really got chills when i hear songs like this because of the skill that this singer have, if you listen the song someone to hate and then you hear this you'll never think it is the same band... What a wondeful music..

@Gate2immortals I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say. I was not saying that this song was trying to hurt anyone or anything like that. What I was getting at is that the people who go on these pages and argue for or against religion or try to debate it are often very disrespectful of each other, and often times make themselves look very ignorant and that I really dislike seeing these debates on here when we should just be here to enjoy the music.
