It’s apparently a re-envisioning according to Bluepoint. A remake that also changes stuff about the landscape and possibly story, something we can confirm by the new Dragon God fight opening and arena. Considering Demon’s Souls has a cut world, they could possibly add this back in as well with how they’re handling it. Here’s hoping.

Actually if you loved Dark Souls, you'll probably hate(at first) Demon's Souls. If people thought Dark Souls was rage-worthy, then Demon's Souls will literally ruin lives. How about when you accidentally bump your controller while in town and hit Stockpile Thomas, making it impossible to store any items ever again that playthrough. Or how the game legitimately gets harder the more times you die due to the games Black and White World Tendencies. Yes, Demon's Souls actually punishes you for dying too much by reducing your maximum health each death(can be kind of offset by a ring), and making the world increasingly harder to go through with each death. You hated PvP in Dark Souls? Well thankfully there's a boss in Demon's Souls that spawns an enemy player for you to fight, ala Dark Souls 3's Ringed City DLC boss fight. How about when you go afk because a sudden case of mudbutt came on hard and fast, only to come back from AFK to find that another player has soul-sucked you from level 125 all the way down to level 1 again. You thought Blight Town was cancer? Well the Valley of Defilement is Chernobyl. Remembering all of that brings a joyful tear to my eyes. Those were the days. Umbasa.

@@dawnhazelett7184 I remember the first time I tried making a mage-type class. Got through the Tower of Latria and all that, was having a blast. At some point came back to town to learn some new spells and what do I find? Sage Freke dead. "The fuck?! Was this supposed to happen?!" I thought to myself. I didn't realize that freeing Yurt the Silent Chief from his prison and not killing him(I accidentally made him hostile towards me my first playthrough hitting him to try and kill an enemy player) meant that he was eventually going to find his way to The Nexus and start assassinating people. I lost like 75% of the people in the Nexus before realizing what was going on.

Scott L oh yeah Sweet Yurt ...lucky for me a couple of friends started playing this before I did and warned me about that and Thomas. I killed him I wanted that armor. Once I beat this game solo I was also a mage in my small group. So much fun when an invader came. I really am not looking forward to Valley of Defilement again. I attempted to play that on Halloween ..yeah was that fun. With all that said I truly do love this game. I will be doing another play through before I attempt this new remake.

@@condor6327 Yeah but it got famous with Dark Souls, which had unlimited health recovers (estus flask) And in demon souls you gotta farm your healing items. Also being in soul form cutting half your health is a big off. I hope it catches on tbh. I do love this game to death. Maybe they will change a few things to make it less frustrating. Also fuck the red eyes skeleton.

You also had to farm vials in Bloodborne and that sold pretty dang good too. Also, fuck the red eye skeleton lol. - Onix
