The real boss was the fact that this game only released for PS3 for the longest time. It's on the PS5 now, but that's another boss altogether. Getting the PS5 is more difficult to get than playing Demon's Souls.

A brilliant re-imaging of the main theme that takes out some of the silliness of the original vocals and builds you up for the struggle to come. It's a shame that more of the classic vibes of the original tracks for the bosses couldn't have been kept intact. It feels like the direction here was pretty good, but on a few of the others it was just "off", like the composer didn't understand the "feeling" of the fight.

I always thought demons souls is a boring predecessor to the soulsborne series after that game. Nobody ever talks about it. But when I started playing the demons souls remake for the first time I realized demons souls is basically the blueprint for every other game in some way or concept. Like bruh one area is literally the final one from bloodborne. Even smaller things like the second boss (bloodborne), the first boss (dark souls), the main theme (elden ring) and so on. I’m actually shocked how I’ve never heard someone talking about these similarities and inspirations.
