I think the problem is having very high luck. When you do the coin glitch you must exit the level up screen when you have between 3,000 and 4,000 luck. I think I read somewhere that excessively high luck will make you unable to see souls when King Allant kills you. There are other factors to take into account such as that the number of souls for "the next level" (when you leave luck between 3k and 4k) is positive (red numbers) and that King Allant kills you with the attack that takes away your level.​@@soledby_alex6705

Have you tried Soul-farming in 4-2 or 4-3 yet? It’s a grind, but you can start 4-2 with a strong enough bow or spell snipe the grim enemy and get a chunk of souls from him as well as all the enemies that die along with him. And in 4-3 after the boss is dead you’ll still see a bunch of flying stingrays everywhere. Use the sword you get in that boss arena to kill them all quickly for a good 30k souls (been awhile since I played, but I’m pretty sure it’s over 30k) if you use the fast travel between 4-2 and 4-3 you can do both in about 2 minutes time. Choose your build carefully, and level up accordingly and you’ll do fine. The remake plays muuuuuch better than the OG Demon’s Souls on PS3 so I have faith in you 😎
