Ng+ is a nightmare compared to the first playthrough. I collecting everything possible on my first playthrough , rings , miracles etc which was good because I basically ran through swamp of sorrows in ng+. That area is one shot hell. For King Doren I used death cloud , he just stood there and died. Just need to do ng+2 for platinum.

Man same. I don't know why but I feel ng+ is waaaaay too much bullshit. Bosses do massive ammount of damage while my damage seems to have decreased?? I have been farming at 4-2 for like 4 hours now and got like 24 million souls. Pumping it all into vitality and endurance until my character becomes a fokin wall. I need that platinum throphy, but man is it draining.

Demon souls newgame+ is the hardest form of souls gaming in the entire series by a mile, it's disgusting how high they ramp up the difficulty even if you were one shotting everything besides bosses on newgame. Unless you're a magic build(cheat build) will have a brutal time 😂 If your playing as a melee character you may as well just be a magic character and use the cres falchion and if your playing as a magic character you may as well just do the same thing. Being a melee character is obsolete in this game

You have to use evacuate or an archstone shard to get soulbrandt without beating the game and getting sent into NG+. Also, if you don't want to shoot the dragon with arrows, there's a spot right at the start of the bridge you can hit the dragon with 2-handed R2s from a great sword.

You can also go to the mausoleum and cast poison cloud before the AI triggers in case you didn't start with the royal class and don't have headbutt. It takes 3 poison clouds aprox for him yo give you the sword and another 3 for the armor

I would kill Yurt immediately when you let him out of his cage in Upper Latria. He is pretty easy to knock off to his death and his Gloom Armor is nice looking. As for Mephistopheles just remember it will require you to be Pure Black Character Tendency and that is very difficult to get back to Pure White Character offline. Two entire playthroughs killing all 5 Black Phantom NPCs perfectly will be required. So definitely get Ally Ring first before going the other way to get the Foe Ring. She is also the only way to get 2 Colorless Demon Souls of the 10 you can get per cycle and those are important for upgrading the 21 unique weapons and shields in the game. So before completing a cycle I would make sure you get all 108 White Arrows and 10 Colorless Demon Souls as well.

Wouldn’t killing Yurt shift character tendency towards black? I have pure black CT and had it since half way through my first playthrough but I have no idea why. Maybe because I killed Yurt immediately and invaded twice. Oh and I played as Yellow king like 10 times.

You can knock down old king Doran off of a few places in the castle. I used dragon bone smasher to launch him 5-10ft from every swing into his quick death.

Killing the old king by punching does still work! I done it yesterday...well not punching but pushing him back with up+R1 at same time, shoves him back and shoved him all the way to the stairs and making him fall 🙌🏼

You can kill old king dorran by sending him flying of a ledge by using the storm ruler, or the dragon bone smasher. Each time they hit him he goes flying and gets up and you can repeat this until he goes to the floor.

You can still cheese the old king, you just need to pull him out of that first room after the bridge and get in the building before he doubles back in, just headbutted him across the bridge yesterday, just took a little extra pulling him than other videos suggest. Specifically get him to attack thru the doorway to the bridge

there is a cheese way you can do for Old King Diorin, if you have death cloud that does plauge and poison cloud you can just use that. Be warned, it will go down slowly but if you want to to mostly do the cheese at 5:46 you can do that while he is poison and have plauged.

I thought after I killed the king in the old ones lair, id be able to return to my world and finish. Nope. Pushing Doran still works. I did it yesterday. I even fell off the ledge with him and died. (NOT world tendency, your character tendency) Demonbrandt gains power the more towards pure white character tendency and Soulbrandt gains more power the more you are towards pure black character tendency. If you are of neutral character tendency both swords are just massively weak.

Old king doran cheese still works you just have to clear all the breakables from the stairs where the guy rolls the bolder down the stairs. Then just head-but him. The first could is tricky cause hell try and attack just dodge get behind him and hit a few times after hes on the outside that little room he wont attack

New game plus for me was torture. I honestly couldn’t believe how much harder it felt. Made it even worse that all worlds were pure black because that’s how I left them. Depraved chasm and swamp of sorrow were brutal. The start of the islands edge was brutal because there was a skeleton and black phantom satsuzki to deal with. I finally beat it and went on to new game plus 2 and wow it felt so easy. I had absolutely no problems getting through it. So weird

Old king Doran can still be cheesed with a high fall, just do your best to head but him as much as possible to the location of his decent. The way shown in this video is still a good option to consider.

For old king Dorian I tried the punching technique and obviously it wasn’t working but if u lure him to the exit like u would if u were punching him and use the ritual blade from the deluxe version of the game u can push him to the ledge and make him die to fall damage I did it twice already

It’s worth carrying a archstone or teleport spell with you for after killing True allant to craft the regalia to use on your 1st NG+ and/or picking up soul sucker spell from yuria if u chose the good ending

I beat Demon's Souls once on PS3 then again on PS5. I am jumping around a bunch in new game plus, and fighting Flame Lurker so I can get the meat cleaver. I feel like Demon's Souls is by far the hardest new game plus out of any of the Soulsborne games because I have died multiple times it's crazy, when usually a new game plus is more or less a breeze. I ask myself "How the F did I beat this before?" I remember Flame Lurker being a one-go boss on new game, but I've died about ten times on him in new game plus. That said, I never played as ranged characters.

You can actually still kill Durant the same way, you just have to lock on, headbutt, and aim accurately so he doesn't go off course. With that, defeating him is a piece of cake.

Ok so I beat the game, and tbh I don’t know what I pressed. All I did was skip the credits and it gave me the cutscene you get at the beginning of the game where the maiden talks about the nexus. Then I decided to go back intro the worlds to explore but all worlds were sealed except for the first one and it was completely reset but I still have all my resources and levels. I don’t know if I accidentally clicked new game plus, or if it was a glitch, or if that was supposed to happen. Please help, I really don’t want to fight all these bosses and npcs leading up to them all over again.

I'm on ng++ still pure black going into it 😂 I wasn't keen on the Northern Regalia as i found it rather slow to swing and no my strength is good enough its 42 lol, the Sword of Searching I'm using at moment as find it really quick and 2 handing it wrecks the blue and red knights, as for the spider it's a peace of cake just wear the thief's ring stay towards the right side as u enter and spam ur bow arrows 😉

You can warp out of the final boss room with an arch stone shard or the Evacuate miracle. This allows you to craft Northern Regalia in one play through :D

Perfect timing, I just finished world 5 last night so I'm cleaning up for the grand finale and NG+ now. One question about Mepistopheles... do you have to kill the NPCs in a special order? I talked to her and she just said I should kill St. Urbain and his followers. So I killed Yuria first because I don't need her anymore on this playthrough but I didn't get the reward?! Or do I have to do something else to get this quest started???

Eeeek! So don’t kill any NPCs unless she asks you to or you want get the individual rewards. You need her to actually request the kill. The best way to get character tendency down is to kill vendors throughout the worlds etc that way you don’t actually kill any of the specific NPCs for her quest line ☺️

When you're about to choose the ending you have to warp out into the nexus to stay in the regular game. If you pick an ending you'll be put into ng+.

Once on the last boss (slug king under the nexus) unless you have an arch stone shard or the miracle ‘Evacuate’ you can’t leave the boss room without it automatically starting NG+

If I go for the 2 miracle/magic trophies, can I spend one Demon soul in NG (to get something for example) and then in NG+ to buy all the rest of them, will this be ok for all the miracles and magic to stack and get the trophy?

Hey friend! You need to have all correct items in your actual inventory, if they are in storage it won’t work. Also make sure you have the right base weapon and level to make the boss weapon :)

I was going for the plat but I killed the bitch in my first save file and then I started ng+ by mistake🤦🏽‍♂️ I stopped playing the game like 2 months ago cause I think if I’d like to get the plat, I have to start all over again right? From 0.

No no! Not at all! Each NG+ is a brand new reset of the game, you can just keep going into NG+’s until you get all the trophies you need. It took me to NG+4 to get my platinum.......(with save scumming I believe it’s possible to platinum in NG+2, but most on average seems to be NG+3 or 4)

I know ng+ is harder than the normal playhthrough, but. What about ng? Does it increase the difficulty every time u beat the game or nope, it always stays the same NG+ difficulty.

hey just beat the game yesterday. after beating false king Allant you will no longer be able to level up but can still run around and do whatever. after defeating real Allant (last boss) you will be trapped in a room to decide which ending you want. however you are still able to use an archstone shard or the evacuate spell to go back to the nexus to do whatever you want (except level up ofcourse). hope that helps!

NG+ bosses should have been the normal game bosses... The bosses are way too easy..

A year on i know but we're u ever pure black going into the boss king Allant cause i can tell you he wasn't easy 😤 in the end i used the bow glitch and it was a peace of cake 😅

If I didn't get the key from ostrava in my first gameplay and wanted to make the sword from demonbrand and soul brand could I make it in my ng + if I have everything do u just need to get his key and then I can make in ng+ early on or is that not how it works??
