This Prison of Hope level reminds me of the aesthetics of Bloodborne- the spiked fences, gothic detailed concrete- damn I hope they remake Bloodborne. Beautiful level this is.

The funny thing is that it didn’t make me motion sick until hearing him say it (I had gone through that area before him) but then once he said it of course I was like maybe I do feel a bit motion sick now

Best early souls farm spot. Spawn at the tower knight boss arena. Turn around and kill both blue knights. Repeat. They give a good amount of souls and give late moon grasses.

Also, once the blue knights become a joke, I’d highly recommend the first few skeletons at 4-1 (they give less souls, but there are more of them). The only downside is that they don’t give any healing items.

A quick tip if you are facing trouble with Fool’s idol like I was: When you enter arena, go to the last right column and break the chair and table there. From there, you can’t be hit unless you go far to hit fool’s idol. Feel free to use magic or bow to kill the boss. After that, stick to the left or right wall and get the item. This is one amazing game with an amazing walkthrough!

Nice, I'm going to give that a try! The Trek back to the boss is what really kills me. I beat the fools idol on my first try, but it didn't count since i hadn't killed that mage guy. Now, I've tried 10+ times, and always die with her having a fraction of her health.

If you use the thief ring and sneak up to the lizards, you can snipe them with a bow and get every single one of them every time. I've done this numerous times and it always works.

Man i struggled with this boss like 10+ tries to kill her. She’s simple but tricky. The walkthrough has gotten me so far in this game which was awesome. Here’s some things you also need to be mindful of BEFORE entering the boss area. Go spend your souls to level up and then make your way back to the boss. If you die then you have to make your way back to the boss area anyways plus you have the chance of risking dying again and losing everything anyways so might as well. You’re gonna want to have enough health items, arrows, and fire for weapon. Make sure you’re light enough to roll fast. And remember the traps in the floor don’t disappear they go go invisible and stay right there!

If you're reading this and this is your first run like me, I died ot the Fool's Idol once. I realized the second time that if you do just minimal damage to the clones they will disappear. This helped me as I didn't have 5 enemies firing magic projectiles at me. If you stay behind one of the two pillars closest to the doors you came in at you can slowly work your way forward taking out a clone at a time until you only have the Boss left or maybe the Boss and one clone that is further away from you. I am also running a mage and used Flame Toss over and over. I hit her hard with my weapon like Cowboy but after that I hid behind a pillar just enough so I could hit her but she couldn't hit me or I could side step out, hit her, side step back and wait for her to attack. Also, make sure to pick up all the loot before you kill her, specifically behind the altar because as soon as you step on the alter you'll get snatched up by flying gargoyles.

Great series. At the lizard pit, just equip the thief ring and walk up real slow with the bow and snipe them as you see them. Most won't run this way and you get easily get most of them. Just walk up slowly and snipe the first 2 two you see in the pit. There's more below but don't walk up to the edge as they will run, instead wall hug to the left and go up the slight path up to see into the pit and get the rest. Then walk around to the right side of the pit to get the last one. Real easy with bow

Concerning the pit with the crystal lizards inside of it; I was able to shoot the first one at the end of the tunnel with a bow, then kill the one rushing down the ramp as quickly as possible while staying as far from the ledge as you can. Then slowing peeking the ledge you you can snipe each lizard without alerting them with the thief ring on.

Thanks again for the walkthrough. After an initial try with the axe, I killed the Fools Idol by staying behind the left hand pillar near the entrance and sniping everything. Kept a shield handy just in case. I did take a bit of damage at the start with no bloody crescent grass or healing, so I cowered there wearing the regenerator ring and cling ring until my health was full, then just kept sniping her. It was harder to tell which was which as you couldn’t see the small health bars for the clones but I mostly guessed correctly. Got to the altar to get the key (or ring?) and the bloody gargoyles took me. Hadn’t watched that bit of the walkthrough so thought I’d fecked it up haha. Guess I can go and get the item later? At least I remembered to kill myself in the Nexus. Had to pause the rest of walkthrough but am sure you didn’t die and affect world tendency 🤔🤣

For anyone who missed the Baby Nail, like my dumbass did, you can still get it! Go back to Prison of Hope and travel back to the False Idol’s room. To avoid the cutscene, you’re going to hug the wall (don’t think it matters which side, but I chose right) and follow it all the way to the back, do NOT move off the wall/railing. Then get directly behind and approach it to pick it up. Voila lol

If anyone is having trouble with the 2 invaders at 16:20, just lead them up the elevator you took down and they become non-lethal. They just walk back and you can get easy free hits.

Fools idol. If you don’t kill her worshippers and run straight up and attack her, when she morphs, they face the real one. The left or right pillar at the entrance shield you from any attacks and you can cheese with arrows. Great vids btw, if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have had any interest or capability for the Souls games. Thanks man!.

On my first play through on Temple Knight class I really struggled to kill the invader who spawns before the Fools boss fight. On my second play through as Royalty Class I was able to beat her first time. As soon as she spawns run towards and get close in front of her. Then cast cast Soul Arrow, she will run towards you, jump backwards once (press circle), cast again and repeat. 4 or 5 hits and she’s done for. In my first play through I found her harder than the boss.

For anyone still playing and watching this, towards the end, if you follow to the lizard pit while wearing the thief ring, you can snipe every single one with a bow. The only one I can't seem to get with this method is the one to the immediate left that runs down to the pit. I always miss that one.

In the original, you could also send the elevator back up and the 2-invaders would often fall down the pit and kill themselves. Then you could quit and re-load to collect their loot. Again, this was the original on the PS3, and I haven't been able to try it out on PS5, since I don't have one.

I didnt get the item behind the altar at the boss (so dumb...) is there anyway to get it after killing her? Edit: I got it! Turns out that following the tips from original Demon Souls can work. Solution: just hug the left or right side wall and keep moving until you are close to it. Grab it and go to the altar to be transported :)

3:30 the silver catalyst is good in that it raises your mp capacity, but if you switch between magic and melee it’s not really a plus. The wooden catalyst does more damage.

Immediately after spawning human from the boss, I was invaded to a guy with scraping spear. Broke my gear and fell off the ledge. So wonderful they change you human automatically instead of giving an item. Reason to go offline if you care about tendency.

BTW I had very good luck using the thieves ring and my bow and arrow to kill the lizards in the pit. I am going to assume cowboy didn’t attempt it because it tends to scare them and be less efficient but it looks like there’s a certain order that you can pick them off that doesn’t alert them. Just try to find the most isolated lizards and pick them off, I got like 8 of the lizards my first attempt it was nuts

In 2-2 to kill all those crystal lizards just put on the thief ring and snipe them with your bow from the top. It’s not too difficult to get all of them that way.

BTW, if you keep the theif ring on you can just use you bow. Go close to the edge but not as far in so your standing on the edge itself. You can snipe MOST of them in one go then drop down to get the rest that won't be visible while using the bow up top.

I killed the Fool's Idol, but in the short time when I tried to reach for the arch stone, someone invaded me, and I killed him but I also fell and died in my body form. Does this mean I can't get the world to Pure White now and not be able to get Plat?

Crystal Lizard farm: approach with thief ring, cloak of you’ve got it and bow in hand. I was able to snipe them from the entrance to the pit without alerting them. Easy pickens

Two things with thief ring on lizards in pit won't run for the hills if u walk to edge and you can snipe all of them. And two I agree with below comment I am lost on how to fix my tendency since those damn gargoyles grabbed me after fools idol and flew me to the top of the tower in body form and my dumb ass walked off the edge. Now I have a death in body form and my tendency is out of sync with the walk through...what can I do to fix it?

Actually if you don't kill the guy in the tower right away, play the boss, defeat her and then kill him, she will be always the one at the altar in the next time you fight her, making the only hit her and not the duplicates trophy much much easier. She's not a tough boss so it's very doable. I did this unknowning I had to kill him and let him live first time. Got the trophy second time.
