Funny thing about Haganezuka, he had no idea what Tanjiro's family was like or who they were. He referenced Tanjiro being a "Child of Brightness" which seems to be more about appearance combined with work as opposed to pedigree. So he was hoping Tanjiro's sword would be red based on his appearance, basically.

When i watched this 2019 i had the feeling to see something remarkable. Something what REALLY was a masterpiece, something what will change something. and yes it was, it was part of the reason why so many Animes where getting translated on streaming plattforms after this episode hit the Frontpage of Twitter, Instagram, News etc. Suddenly the west could see, THERE ARE GOOD ANIMES. Thanks for uploading this reaction, ive seen like 50 to this day and i still search for new ones. its just such a joy to see the reaction of other people to this work of art :)
