we didnt get gyokko's backstory because muichiro wasnt interested in it (i think it was cut out from the anime because it was really dark or something), the only times we've seen demon backstories is when tanjiro approaches them and shows empathy before they disappear. muichiro also defeated gyokko pretty easily after his mark appeared, it's like a buff, like when tanjiro got the mark he beheaded gyutaro for example. we're now seeing the love hashira vs hatred which is pretty poetic. the sword you're thinking about is called an "urumi".

muichiro is like the 3rd, or the 4th strongest hashira among them all, and also don't forget the mark on the face makes hashira's alot times stronger. not gonna say anything more👀

He became the third or 4th with the mark, the rankings you'll see are based on marked hashiras, that's why you'll see Rengoku, Tengen and Shinobu at the bottom since they're unmarked. But most of these rankings are just fan made, so not factual at all.

The seventh form, "Obscuring Clouds," also involves varying the speed of movement to confuse the enemy while attacking. By the way, the flames, water, and mist etc, that appear when the characters attack are basically just images and don't actually appear.
