As far as what Rengoku Kyojuro did, he fulfilled the promise of “the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few”. He nobly fought to the bitter end near sunrise. Although, some might make jokes about it. I agree with the creator, it is disrespectful to his sacrifice. He was, quite literally, a hero for those who were in danger at that point in time. He prevented the deaths of many.

i dont know why rengokus dad acts like he doesnt know sun breathing because he does know it, he even know the earrings, and that all of the breathing style originated from sun breathing since hes been reading his ancestors books. Thats why he was mad at tanjiro because he thought that tanjiro woud have been able to protect kyojoru(i forgot the spelling) since he wields the strongest breathing form. He was even able to identify tanjiro as a sun breather just from his earrings alone
