I used paper plates and a lot of different tapes and glue. It was a great alternative I don’t watch anime’s. But this helped me make my own kitsune mask. I sorta wanna make demon slayer now. I thank you greatly. I don’t have to spend a lot of money on cosplays instead it’s homemade and feels more Special.

So I followed your tutorial. Templates usually intimidate me for some reason XD but yours was so easy to follow. Have to say though in the middle there I got a bit confused so I had to look at the finished product and figure it out. Over all great experience.

This is such a cool video! I've never worked with foam before and have wanted to make nikaido's demon mask from dorohedoro, but was unsure how do get that glossy finish and keep it lightweight but sturdy . Don’t know why it didn’t show up, but thank you so much! You’re giving me way too much credit though. I spent way too much time trying to fix seams and there I still imperfections you just can’t see on camera. An important part of cosplay is realizing that most people won’t notice all the imperfections you notice.

That's a great video i think u found a good way to grow on yt, also yesterday i was watching tutorials for props btw all require a lot of stuffs that sometimes can't be' found in my country and the budget is a bit too much..basically you made a very good props with like half of the stuffs and in my opinion is better then most of the masks tutorial on yt that i saw.

Some people use foam floor mats instead of Eva foam, though they tend to have more imperfections than Eva foam. Just make sure to wear a mask that can filter out toxic fumes if you plan to try it.

If I remember right, it shows which sides need to have a bevel. It doesn’t show how much it needs to be beveled though.

I think if you used a thin cardboard, it would be easy to bend. Then you could try using paper maché to manipulate the thickness or shape to your liking :)

Great vid but I'm still confused on the template what are the small dot lines mean to do and on the jaw what do the bolder line marks mean to do the bolder lines are near the v shaped part

Dotted lines are just supposed to show what sections need to be beveled. I don’t see the bold lines on the jaw, but the dashed lines around the darts can just be ignored.

It’s not out of the question for me to make that mask and I’ve definitely thought about it, but I’m probably going to stray away from Demon Slayer builds for a little bit. There are just so many other projects that I want to do, but I’ll definitely come back to Demon Slayer eventually.

This tutorial is a life saver honestly! Just one question about concave and convex bevels. I'm making something like this for the first time so I'm not very well versed and some help would be much appreciated. I see on the file that you shared that the concave and convex bevels are not show or I'm just dumb and don't understand it. I think you should try it anyways! Like anything, it really just takes practice and you can’t get better without trying. Trust me, there are a lot of mistakes I made off camera that I had to fix, but I learned from each one and hopefully won’t make the same mistakes in the future.

Haven’t seen any good templates for this and I’m probably not going to get around to making one, but Punished Props has a free template for the Judge’s mask from Far Cry. That might be a good starting point. If not, making a sculpture in the rough shape of the mask and using tape to make a template would probably be the best method. www.punishedprops.com/free-blueprint-files/
