I've seen a lot of reactions so far. It amazes me how many reactors were confused and thought Muzan had exploded the mansion and didnt realize it was Ubuyashiki until Muzan said so. But you guys picked up on it so much quicker than a lot of other reactors Ive watched. Looking forward to your reaction to the Infinity castle arc.

I'll admit I at first thought Muzan, then thought Ubayashiki, then thought Muzan, then Ubayashiki. I mean I didn't know Muzan's power and he didn't seem too surprised during the slow down. For all I know I could've seen Muzan walking out then flames.

1:16:12 Asakusa is a callback to Season 1 where Tanjiro met Muzan on the streets and Muzan slashed a guy with his fingernails and turned him into a demon as a distraction to escape. During the show we heard that Tamayo helped him out, and the irony here is that the "Flesh Seeds" blood demon art is used against Muzan thanks to him turning that guy, everything coming full circle! 🗿

Not trying to change your mind or anyhing, you're welcome to your own opinion. But Mitsuris backstory is relevant to the time period, and is also extremely relateable to girls (and even guys) in japan. When conformity is a MAJOR issue/thing -especially for women. This isnt written by western standards. Mitsuri's backstory may seem "for a girl" or like something weird, but in truth its probably the most relevant one in the series -as most people don't really have entire families killed by demons haha. Anyway, dun want to spoil or anything, but just wait till next arc for the ladies to step up!

So I don't speak for the others so this is just for me personally. I've seen a ton of anime and while not an expert, I am familiar with the difference in Japanese culture along the lines of "not standing out" and how that is viewed upon as negative. Whether that's a differing hair color or just being louder than those around you. Those things are all accurate and not really my problem with Mitsuri's backstory. I just found myself wanting a little more. Her message and story because its the most relatable means for me it needs the most care and thought because I can understand her struggle. The idea of not being accepted for who you are and coming to terms with that acceptance but its not explored enough for me. There's a ton of room to dive much deeper into that then what we got. Beyond that, the girls often seem to get the short end of the stick in this series in my opinion. Whether accidental or not on the authors part, those little things start to add up. Having Shinobu be the one who "cant slice off a Demons head" because shes too weak so has to result to using poison. Why does she have to be too weak? Because shes a girl? Why couldnt it be that she just prefers to use poison. The comment about her being weak isnt necessary IMO. Would the same be asid about a guy? Kanao is pretty much going to be power leveled entirely off screen Im assuming since shes gonna be in Infinity castle. Shes shown at the start toasting our boys but then never really allowed to get screen time until the Climax? Where as Genya the guy gets a huge arc about his story and becomes regular buddies with Tanjiro now. Usui whos story already had a nice conclusion gets an entire episode during hashira training, but Mitsuris training gets 3 minutes of screen time and glossed over because its gymnastics? I dont wanna drag this on for too long since theres a ton more I could say but overall I think the author has slighted the girls in particular quite a bit over the course of the series. And im sure they will get some moments here at the end that people are gonna be hype over, but for me that doesnt erase what was already done to them over the course of the series. Also as you said not really trying to change anyones mind here. Just some quick personal thoughts of my own on some of my issues. Im fine with people who dont agree with these :) - Red

You don’t understand Japanese culture and you don’t understand that the writer is writing things from the perspective of the time period. For instance, you can’t fathom how no man would like Mitsuri because of her hair color or that she eats a lot. But that’s how it was and often still is in Japan. Kids aren’t allowed to change their hair color in public school, and there is a lot of conformity issues in society... even in adult work culture. Of course, things are a lot better than from how things were during the Taisho period, but I think the author does portray these kinds of social issues...granted not deeply, but those who know will feel them. The speech that Daki makes to Zenitsu was sad and chilling, because though the whole Entertainment District portrayed mostly the flashy side, she hinted at the darker aspects as well. I agree with your rant though about manga readers trying to dictate what to expect or pre-judging the show before episodes even air. You really should assess the episodes as they air, because the anime adaptations should be treated as their own body of work.

Bro actually this last episode is part of Infinity castle arc itself which is the reason why you guys were so hyped in the end of season. Hashira training arc actually ends When Muzan appears infront of the master. So you can’t blame Manga readers for giving a heads up because many would have thought they would just end this arc just like in the Manga. You guys did say that this season had less flaws in its writing compared to previous seasons it’s because it was just a training arc. So it’s not that difficult to write a training arc that involves just regular training for the characters coupled with lots of wholesome and some cool moments but without this last episode you wouldn’t have liked it this much I am damn sure about that.

In case of Shinobu and Mitsuri there are several things to consider. Shinobu is preparing for something and you will see it in the next arc. She is going to be a stand out character in the show. In case of Mitsuri her personality and her cause is not as strong or deep as other demon slayers. Her reasons for becoming a demon itself is to be with the people who accepted her in her true self and that’s about it. Her life goal is to just find true love. There is nothing to develop about her character but she does play an important part with everyone but is not a stand out like the rest of the characters. Even Tamayo would be a stand out character. Everyone else especially Iguro, Sanemi, Shinobu and Gyomei, Tanjiro, Inosuke has a much deeper or huge cause for ending Muzan once and for all. There’s isn’t much to show about Mitsuri anymore as a character because it’s already established that she is the comfort character in the show. Also the episode with Iguro was really integral in the story moving forward too. You will understand it in the final arc. Everything will make sense by that time.

She didn't join the Demon Slayer Corp solely to find a husband, yes it's one of her main reasons but it's also because its where she feels accepted. Ubuyashiki told her to not reject who she is and embrace her strength and uniqueness and made her feel welcome. So yes she's looking for a Husband but is also embracing her strength and using it to help keep people safe.

1:38:27 Everyone else appreciated the fact that she didn’t had a tragic backstory like the rest of them. Wasn’t it necessary to show that not all of them had a tragic backstory. Why would you need to have tragic backstories for every single character in the show. Wouldn’t it be a cliche too. It was pretty evident from her behavior that she didn’t had a rough life compared to others and willingly joined the demon slayer corps without any probable cause in order to use her strength and abilities to defeat demons who took the lives of many. She just wanted to find true love in her life who accepted her strength and uniqueness without being afraid or annoyed about it. Because even in real life Men are so proud to be known as the pillar of strength in the family but in her case she was superior than any man she dated. So it’s like a hard slap to men who doesn’t acknowledge the strength of women or respect it.

TEV never said she needed something tragic, but he feels her conviction isn't a good one for him. Some can be fine that her main motivation is to find someone strong to marry, but for some that's not fine. Let's say instead of saying she's looking for love, we used most of her backstory but change one thing. Her deciding factor was to not pretend to be something she's not. Then she could have something tie her into learning about demons. Maybe an invitation like how the Mist hashira was invited. Not someone in her family, but maybe neighbors and she encounters one and helps someone. Not exactly tragic like the others but in a night's moment she learns she can use her strength to help people. Maybe even the neighbor is husband and wife and using love as the motivation see wants to help others stay safe from losing a loved one.

You saw him generate clothing in the Swordsmith Village arc, when he transformed from the boy to the MJ look. In addition, other demons, such as Daki regenerated her platform sandals after she lost her foot trying to get away from Tanjiro. In addition, her belts, which are technically clothing, was actually an extension of herself. The Temari-Demon also created temari (silk balls) out of thin air, and the Upper Moon 5 created all kinds of demon fish, so we can deduce that stronger demons can create things, including clothing.

i also think this is by far one of the best demon slayer seasons besides the entrentaiment district arc season. Also, when the little girl in Himejima's back story, when she said the monster, she was referring to the demon, but she was so afraid and in shock she never actually said Himejima was innocent. According to the manga, she is 14 during that time and regrets doing that and wishes to forgive Himejima.

I think a lot of people "warned" you of this arc because they knew the arc was stopping there, just before the "main" action. It might be on me and my bad memory but as someone who read manga I genuinely coudn't tell what was a manga material and what was anime original, so I reread this part and I was shocked, since every training beside Gyomei's is like pretty much one to two pages long (like Mitsuri training which is pretty much one to one with a manga). I extremely glad they extended it in the anime and I think if so many people wasn't streaming how it's anime "filler" a lot of people wouldn't even realise it's not in the manga. Content that they added in my opinion isn't just "good for anime original", it is (for the most parts) just pretty damn good.

Everything happened between Shinobu and Tamayo are very secretive and is never revealed because it’s going to be a big reveal in the next arc. It’s not like the author or anime forgot about them. They were cooking something special which the viewers shouldn’t see yet because instead of showing their interactions they will show us the results of that team up directly in the next arc.

So its still some left to be covered and also as for the girl perspective Shinobu, kanao well have a very very changing stories i think y'all opinions will change and how inosuke character ties in with that. The female characters shine the most in the final arc. Shinobu is weak due to her size but she’s very very fast which makes her lethal to 90% of the demons because before they know it they have so much poison in them that they’re dead. Shinobu is the “weakest” hashira but she still clears tengen due to her speed. Mitsuri shines in the sword-smith andvillage arc. But kanao shines in the infinity castle arc for me. She’s had slow but steady steps in development and it all comes together for the end

“Perfect season” not even close to that. “Fleshed out moments” so for example when we got 1 minute of the love hashira but got a whole episode of planes before that or that we got zero and I mean zero backstory to snake hasira and that we only spent half the episode on him, or how we never got Shinobus backstory at all in this arc remember that they could have easily put in if the did not give us a whole Tengen episode who we already know of. If that to you is “fleshed out “ and “perfect” ooo boy then you have not seen any good anime…

Iguro’s back story is in final arc. This arc was actually pretty small in the Manga and it was only for the last few wholesome moments in demon slayer because it’s going to be really dark from here onwards. But Ufotable just extended the arc and gave us an incredible finale 👌❤️🔥

the studio wanted to preserve the tension for Shinobu, like the amount of Hype Tamayo gave when she appeared! How much more will it be for Shinobu. You can't put too much back story in an arc. Like people already be complaining when there's just a single flashback. It's a good thing then that Gotouge was the one who wrote demon slayer and not you. You too impatient. There's a reason she's Time100 and the studio is respecting the flow of the story Stop capping
