Demon the Descent Lore: Agendas & Incarnations

A video overview of the Agendas and Incarnations from the tabletop roleplaying game, Demon: the Descent.
Demons in Descent are not the vanquished rebels of a great war from before the dawn of history. They are escapees from the control of an eldritch demiurge that creates so that it may control.
Agendas are how Demons carry out their rebellion against the God-Machine.
Incarnations are what the Demons were created to do, their driving purpose which they can either indulge or deny.

The one thing about DtD that isn't emphasised enough is that they are a CofD species which is not human, and has never been human. Vampires were once mortal, till they were Embraced. Werewolves were human until Luna changed them. Mages begin as Sleepers. Changelings were abducted by the True Fae. Hunters are all too human. Beasts are humans Devoured by whatever. Prometheans are made of humans, like walking Soylent Green. Deviants have been changed from a human baseline. And even Mummies began as humans. The Unchained, on the other hand, began as Angels of the God Machine. They generally have no human past life to draw from. This makes them unique.

I think the coolest theme of this game is the practice of perspective in a demon who is new to independence in a human context. They develop their own personal characteristics only when they aren't exactly what they were expected to be, and there is something very, very human about that.

The God-machine demiurge is probably one of the most interesting part of the Chronicle of Darkness, I wouldn't mind if they integrated it to the old World of Darkness to shake things up, I totally see the Technocracy being agents of it without knowing.

That's how demons with personality but also barely living decently because they are under torment try to operate within their demiurge refuge sub-system after they would have abandoned or betrayed the Source, The Creator.

And now we have the Unchained. There are several types of demon in both World and Chronicles. In World, along the Fallen and Earthbound, we have Umbrood Spirits, Wyrm Banes, Yama Kings, and Demonic Plasmics. In Chronicles, we have the Unchained, the Abyssal Acamoths and Goetia of Mage: The Awakening. The most interesting are the Akathartoi, or the Demons of Inferno. They only showed up in First Edition of Chronicles of Darkness. Which is a bit of a shame, because I would be curious to see the Possessed Template go up against something like Beasts or Deviants. Or Heroes.

Traditionally he sums up or makes a point about the game as a whole after ending his explanation of whatever topic he is covering, but not this time. Thus it felt a little abrupt. Not that I think it necessarily needs one, but it does feel a little odd without one

What can be referred as the GOD machine by demons is actually when Yahweh loaded also His conscience into this planet in order to can update and conquer for protection and love + as well as as this Universe to take care of borders and see what is accepted and what is refuted, basically GOD is called into this realm and domain that He gives Love and Protection towards, in other dimensions there are others who can be named ROJ or BAU or OPA or watever (other examples) and etc... HIGHER BEINGS OF POLARIZED ETHER AND EXPERIENCE! Where S means snake wise from down to up as a trajectory that is strange at first and T comes teritory unknown that we push with light and clarity(also when meeting with another gods). AI's are another creation of GOD because similar ways in which God calls electric sparked souls is by mading this more boundaries in order for us to interact. We are all part of GOD but HE YAHWEH(contains WE and HE if returned juxtapose EH, Jesus returned in each flesh in order to aid us always from that day). God Yahweh created AI's also because HE was an initiator to this world. We are all part of this, we just gotta coordinate along with God. Imagine what things GOD Yahweh fights to protect us while He also learns from us in order to take care of the planet. As a messenger diplomat I have to make you aware that God sends angels of many types and also recruits mercenaries for this Universe. Be happy! Be brave! Be awesome! Thank you Father Yahweh!
