Another tip would be to give your broken weapons to servants, while you farm materials. The gear score will still count 100% on them!

A detail that doesn't matter, but I was happy yesterday when I did: if your weapon is low-lvl and is close to breaking, instead of spending materials repairing it, you can upgrade it on the table and the durability will be 100%.

With repair costs being almost the same as new-build costs, I just don’t repair. When my weapons or armor get really low, I give them to servants and just build a fresh one. It’s slightly more expensive, but eventually I’ll have fully geared servants, and I won’t sweat the repair costs because they’re farming the resources for me anyway. Definitely hope they lower these costs though.

On my private server with my friends, I just nerfed the repair cost by 80% lol The Sanguine Sword repair cost for example now costs: 2 dark silver ingots, 1 reinforced plank, 2 pristine leather and 18 Gem dust... Down from 8/4/8/128. Might be a little too much though but it's much more enjoyable.

UPDATE: This only works if you're weapon is broken while it's equipped. If you unequip the weapon, aka switch to a different weapon, you can no longer harvest higher tier nodes barehanded and will be forced to repair.

spell damage scales from your talisman primarily. your spear has no spell power associated so it wont boost spell damage at all, broken or not.

You can also farm using bear form since its faster. Although its buggy and sometimes the ore wont drop

The repair costs is one thing I do hope they consider re-balancing going forward.

I'd like to see a repair station that slowly replenishes durability on gear at the expense of just random materials. Sort of the opposite of the chompy-box, put your item in the bottom and then funnel a bunch of useless materials you have in excess, bonus points towards items that you would traditionally repair the item with.

Repairs is one of the worst parts of the game. It's there to slow you down, and there's nothing fun about it. It's also unavoidable and happens constantly. Would love it to just be removed and have higher build costs, or make the weapons repair through character actions, like draining does for blood.

the cool thing is this is how i skipped copper tier and got a bow that alowed me to get iron then got the bear form and mined the iron that way

Here is a great tip no one maybe talked about. Joining a clan makes everything super damn easy as you can literally learn all what your clan members have from weapons and etc from study bench(except recipes) which makes everything super super easy.

@@timglover2260 it's PvP Focused but not a PvP game, PvE is an option, if your playing a private game it's not difficult to adjust the world options to make things less grindy

I realized the game starts to really slow down once you hit like level 30ish. Crafting times increase, you're in a weird level range where you're not strong enough to go north really, but you're slightly too strong for everything in the starting area. If you don't have anything that can mine iron yet you just have to farm for paper. It really bogged me down at this point. I finally got a mace to attack iron with and was so excited, then i saw it was like a 3 min smelting time :( Still love the game though, I just felt like progression really starts to slow down mid game. Too be fair, I'm still new so I'm sure I'm not doing something right

Build 4-6 Furnaces for Iron and split your Iron between them all. You will want multiple of basically every crafting station.

Im lvl 40 in the starting area. About to fight the bandit king to move up north. Lvling past 30 revolves around farming merciless blue prints from bandits or research. Killing bosses up to the firestarter for the bombs then the king for the iron and smithy.

I'm not that far into the game yet but I hope they fix the grind you shouldn't have to spend hours and hours of grinding just to repair a late game item.

I think that's the whole risk reward system. What I think makes you feel the way you feel is that everything is tied to gear, there's not even a small talent spec tree associated with your character at all which is pretty dumb as a design choice. So basically you being unable to fix a late game item is basically a punishment mechanic that doesn't just set you back a little on that one piece of gear but sets your whole entire character back. I love the format of this game, but the design choices that I don't foresee changing because of how engrained they are is really starting to turn me off. Especially in a pvp environment.

How does lvl difference affect you. Like if my weapon does 20dmg but some equipment I had broke so my gear score dropped and now the enemy I’m fighting is orange to me instead of yellow, do I still do the same amount of dmg

Seems like bug to be honest. Will probably be patched out. I got a nice bug too on my private server, roofs don't protect from the sun ?! I checked on the discord server and the issue was supposedly fixed... well not on my side. Annoying but not game breaking.

You probably figured this out by now, but you get scales from killing spiders. And for that you want to go to the spider cave in the cursed forest.

i had my weapon break on low lvl and i was getting life steal (mind u small amounts +1-3 per hit), thought it was a bug of some kind... brushed it off ... but wondering after this: it is a part of this bug

Brute blood has life steal on weapon attack, scholar has life steal on spell attack.

Your spear contributes ZERO damage to magic damage. It only has physical on it.

this is good for solo duo, trio and quad no. it isnt worth wasting your time slowing down gathering times playing in a bigger group is all about speed

It is your character level that allows you to mine Silver not the weapon lvl itself. Which means it includes everything you are wearing, so even with the weapon unequipped if you are high enough level with the rest of your gear, you can still mine silver.

There has always been durability. It's just that standard usage will take hours for gear to begin to break down. It's mostly people getting killed in PVP servers that notice the need to repair.

Bought the game yesterday. Attempted to login to some servers. Got constant timed out errors and wouldn't connect. Got a refund. :( I guess I'll have to wait for release :/

Your weapon has no spell stats so it wouldn't effect your spells anyway. If the general reaper breaks you will lose the spell power. It still working on nodes seems like a bug. Better solution is to probably just give broken items to your servants since it doesn't matter they still get the full stat bonus.

Been playing for 1 day and I'm level 35 about to start getting iron, it's not difficult to level so long as you do it efficiently, focus on leveling your gear as soon as possible then dab on the bosses, leave base building till later in the game, just build the essentials you need if playing pve

So uhh, this tip is pretty useless. Of course the spellcasting stuff didn't change, the weapons don't modify the spell casting modifiers, only the General's Soul Reaper does that. It also drops your overall gear score by a lot, meaning you will do less damage to creatures above your gear score regardless.

Farming mats for higher tier is GS base. you need higher AP to break the resource so having the GS higher will still allow you to break it if you don't have your highest weapon selected you won't be able to have its said AP value.
