Gearscore grinding is the bane of my existence and the reason I’ll shelf this game for a bit. Because I’m so fuckin tired of it, so much time yet 0-little progress, I put up with bugs, faction drama and company infighting, but gearscore grinding is what’s finally killed my moral.

I just got my crafting up and prob won't watermark unless I got nothing to do. Watermarking is basically a way to greatly slow people so that it takes them longer to notice no new content (not a bad thing, people be farming this game blowing through everything that no devs can keep up). Farming mats is better since I mostly play Outpost Rush now and it lets me set my own pace

There's also a pretty decent level 60 plated farm I did to get my GS to 530s. Skysong Crypt has three named plated guys you can rotate and kill on cooldown. It's pretty good for a group of 3-5 starting out. Love the tip though man!

Good thing to mention is that the pvp gear is still best in wars, even though it might be lower gear score than some of the drops you get from elites. Ofc exluding things like void armor. (the resilience perk is bugged and reduces your damage by 4.5%, same for onyx gems but 2.5% there)

Only 1 correction. Please upvote for visibility. They patched an error with the final GS range of 590-600 in the last patch. Basically it was impossible to go past 591 GS pre-patch because the 2nd to final range was 581-591 and marked up in +2 increments so at the top you would get 589 or 591. To start the final waterwark range you had to get a 590 drop which was impossible. It was a programming error and is fixed. GOOD news, you can take GS to 600 easily now myrkguard and many of us have. Happy Myrkguard farming.

No shot, the best spot when you hit 60 is reekwater,ping pong between the two most southern bosses they have 5 minute respawn and you can kill with ease and have a 600 gs sword(doesn't watermark) called coral lash, plus easy to grab chests, after you hit 565 is gs. Go north shat to myrk and do the double mage jump farm until you're 591. But regardless of this farming, your bis for pvp(war) is your faction pvp gear thanks to resilience of 22.5% which is only beat by voidbent gear and that stuff is only a little better for a massive price tag if you don't farm it all yourself.

There is a lot of people doing the boss farm in Myrkgard with over 5 people and I can tell you from the many of runs I've done that the only way to get 100% drop chance for loot is to have a max player count of 5. Anymore than 5 the game is going to randomly pick 5 people to hand loot out to. I say random because there is no consentient pattern on who gets loot. It's not damage base because as a healer I've gotten loot doing zero damage to the bosses. If you want 100% drop chance from the bosses make sure to have 5 people max!

My plan is to just farm, craft engineering stuff and give void ore to my companys armorer to make void gear. Already got 4 done. I'm not bothering with any sub optimal gear. I have mix of trash and top tier gear. I do need them to fix the legendary part bug so i can get the missing component for musket of unseen power and that enchanted bow string for the bow but right now those items aren't dropping for anyone.

A few questions here. 1st, is there a way to check your watermark besides spreadsheets? (tired of equipping every piece of gear and too lazy to make + update a spreadsheet) 2nd, at the end of the video, Demone, do you(does Demone) mean elite zones when you're(he's) talking about dungeons and less loot the more people there are? What is the maximum number of players you can have before the farm becomes bad? 3rd, can you farm a full day(s) in 1 zone until you reach the watermark for the next zone? 4th, I love the crit damage reduction on pvp gear, when can you replace it? And would you switch back to it in wars/pvp? Demone Kim doesn't have the time to reply to 230k subs so I'd appreciate if other commentators took their time to answer and help out Demone Kim.

I went the other way -- I got to 200 armorsmithing and crafted myself 550 gear. If I could only get armorer boots and the cabbage T5 armorer food recipe, I'd be higher still. I don't want to use time gated stuff until I have that (I do have the 200 leatherworking weaving and smelting). The PROBLEM with this is, before I can seriously do serious content I have to change out all the trophies in all three houses which stiiiinks. They really should let you hang all 20 trophies then choose which ones you use from ANY of your houses. Normally my trophies are harvesting, skinning, mining, luck, and armoring. Having to waste all your house cooldowns to put the bane trophies of the types of monsters you encounter EVERY TIME and change them back afterward is a real pain.

Agreed, I'm essentially in your boat. Swapping out trio's of trophies to do endgame crafting, when I'm an omni crafter means i have to set specific times i craft jewelry, or craft armor, or craft weapons etc. or else im just running between my houses nonstop. That and I still havent determined a viable way to farm food recipes to get access to the Tskill foods. Just gotta put in the time on that last one I guess.

from what i head: because you cant. the chances of crafting a 600 ilvl with 3 good perks is somewhat of 1:12000 chance. so not archievable for anyone. on the other hand, the BiS weapons like the ice gauntlet drops from genesis (?) dungeon. it will only drop 600ilvl if your watermark is high enough. otherwise you get a 550 (?) one instead.

It's like people who are in big guilds..on my server early on a guild got a bunch of donations to buy land, then they just give money to their members and crafters to level their skills. 40k to max someone's profession is nothing for them. Us solo players can't compete. Its like trying to compete with gold buyers.

FASTEST GEAR SCORE... 1.) Tier 5 Elite Chest Run once a day in shattered mountains 2.) Adjorjan level 62 Elite in south edengrove. GS 500-560 (1 minute respawn) 3.) Tendril level 66 at Eternal Pool For GS 560-600 (2 minute respawn) You can get to GS 600 in less than a week but they changing it to make it harder. Take advantage of these exploits while you can.

Find a group. This isn't a game you can solo very easily at all. Your best bet is joining community raids into elite zones frequently. If you're on a medium-high pop server, leave your recruitment chat on. People are always looking for groups to go into shattered mountain.

I just threw in that ledger cus that’s so basic but I think leaderboards would literally please everyone while Amazon works on things because we all know there will be ups and downs. If pvp is your focus higher gear score gear isn’t even relevant for armor. Resilient perk is bugged and reduces ALL damage not just crits. So the faction armor and eventually grind out void bent is the meta no matter what

Really shitty thing about these areas, is normally you just have to follow the wave of players and where they are. I have 4 580 weapon quests and 2 are currently in mangled heights in great cleave, absolutely no one feels like going there cause it’s not myrkguard or reekwater…. It’s super annoying how this shit is because 1st, I can’t transfer to my friends servers, and 2nd there’s so many elite zones and only a few are really farmed.

Could you be so kind to tell me what the point of this all is? Let’s say you have 600 gear score fully stacked. Wars are broken, no outposts, invasions are too strong to handle for any server, what exactly do you do with you fully stacked items besides looking at it? Preparing for future updates while current ones are broken seems a bit hopeless, who says those won’t be broken when they come out? I am just curious thanks.

Does this mean i have to be in these landmarks to effect my GS watermark? I'm currently solo at 60 and have been farming ghosts in reekwater (4 silver ghosts - not sure what the silver / gold designation are called) and have seen greens upto GS 505 dropping - most have been 500.

Yes that's pretty much it.. Elite Zone mobs have a higher chance to drop gear that increase your watermark. Elite zones also have elite chests which is good for increasing your watermark, and possibly getting some rare loot like legendary components.

Only question I have is why put the time in doing faction missions and legendary quests for 580 weapons when you can just buy a full set of gear with the stats you want from the trade post for 1000-1500 gold. Then you have the GS boost you need to start farming elite mobs and saved yourself days worth of play time! Much love demone!

@@tyrelhunter6529 The overabundance of ways to obtain gear throughout 1-60 and beyond is borderline silly. It invalidates 'most' of the 1-200 tradeskill grind as well for some professions. Just a quick n dirty implementation of an economy/gear progression from a new game dev team is what I chalk it up to. They had so many large data samples of systems they could have chosen to mimic, but instead it seems like we got a room full of people throwing out ideas and they just used all of them at once.

Hey Demone, thank you for the video. I just hit 60 yesterday and had 2 questions, well more like 50 questions but just to for now. The watermark stuff you said it's based off the drops you get. Do you have to actually equip it at least once for it to register or just by getting the drop? Also for pve players who solo mostly due to time constraints etc, how can they look to start raising their gear score up when they hit 60? I can usually just run group dungeons maybe twice a week right now so it's hard. Thank you for any information.

Skip the pvp gear ( apart from weapon maybe ) but there is probably better for sale on market cheaper. Gold is so valuable that you need it for repair & taxes

the cooldown reduction and reduced crit from the factions gear are pretty much bis for pvp until you craft legendary gear with bis perks. the main stat difference from 400-550 gear is tiny in this game, the main factor about gear in new world is the bonuses/perks

Im 60 now and have to say that this endgame grind is one of the most dull endgame grinds Ive ever seen (and I have 20.000+ hours into PoE)

There is bad endgame. And then there is New World endgame. A whole new level of bad on the bad content scale. Basically once you get 60, you don't get to play anymore. You get to run. Run from outpost to chest 50 times back and forth for PvP tokens. Run around the map like a zombie to get chests around elite zones to up watermark. Dull, uninteresting, not any challenge, just run and click left click sometimes. Run to gather stupid amounts of T1 resources to up craft. And that's it.

@@macbait9902 just to get "legendaries" that have nothing special or interesting about them at all, to participate in pvp which most players dont seem to participate in, due to missing incentives. yawnnnn

so acually u can get up to 595 gearscore doing myrkgard priests or the sirens brute. but its hell of a grind

The mountainhome outpost 580 weapon questline is like... 8 quests long? That takes a couple of hours to complete, at least if you get a group for the elite zones that you want to grind anyways.

Yeah but the 580 weapon is a huge increase in damage. Weapons will take way longer to increase the watermark because there’s more of them, and only the 60+ elite zones are difficult to do for those quests.
