Time to check out the Demonology Warlock rework on the War Within alpha and right off the bat, we’re super excited for what they are doing. It seems that they want demo warlock to be the best spec in terms of war within gameplay judging by all the incredible changes they put in the talents.
War Within demonology is looking great currently and regardless of the warlock hero talents, be that diabolist or soul harvester, there is amazing synergy and, really, almost no negative to be underlined here.

If I could start to name all of the major problems it had for years (and didn't get fixed), you'd understand how much they actually did not care about it. But right now it seems that they actually listened and I am very happy they did

Guys i'm new to demonology and i got a question. i got my pets felstorm on auto, and i often find myself when wanting to use demonic strenght or guilone i have to wait cause pet is using felstorm. Is there a macro that would cancel pest felstorm and instantly cast demonic core/guiloitne? thanks

Demo lock has always been my favorite and im absurdly excited for these changes! Almost everything im seeing is outstanding and shows a healthier vision of the game, im mighty tempted to come back for War Within. Demonology AND Nerubian storylines?? Everything i wanted out of wow!

Demo feels way cooler thematic wise now, Rip Nether Portal. Also with all the Fel Guard talents i feel like demo miss a talent to replace the Fel Guard for a Fel Lord, i hope Blizzard could add this option in as it's kinda odd having all this big demons, then there is this smal Fel Guard, kinda makes it look like the lock can't control a strong minion.

tbh, i really wished they reworked hellcaller-hero to be a sacrifice-your-demon talent-tree. sacrificing your demon for an upside really feels like a core warlock fantasy for me, but somehow we got a "get a different dot" tree :D anyone else feel this way?

I play Demo warlock and BM hunter... both pet classes and I am so grateful they got one of them right... BM is so bad it is like being cast into a pit, shoveled crap on, then being told its not so bad, you'll lurn to appreciate it eventually... As I predominately enjoy PVP, the WW BM is like healing in solo shuffle, just one $**# show after another. Thank you for posting, i even watched your 7 hours of panda remix :)

Diabolist just feel way better to me when playing Demo then the other by a long shot. I am glad the choice is there for others but it is Diabolist for me.

Base Doom is set to be damage per 20 seconds, overall dps of dp30s with the 2 improvement talents, if the warlock gets two cores per cast, Doom is looking at damage per 6 seconds, and because of the cooldown resetting, overall dps of that dp6s. Assuming generating 2 core per Doom, we can math that those 2 talents will improve Doom's dps by 5x--just take the 2 periods of time, and divide them, 30/6 = 5. Not sure how many Demonic Cores DemoLocks will be consistently procing, but these talents are just proving to be TOO strong, as Blizzard has always trespassed before...I gave the most extreme case, but at minimum, Doom Eternal causing CD reset is increasing the dps by 30s/20s--50%+, even tho that alone is too good, it doesn't compare to the up to 500% bonus the Lock can produce with 2 Core procs. When talents increase dps of something by too much, the talents become NECESSARY, removing all autonomy from the player. Horrible design.

Superb tbh although i liked demo the most when we had meta. In the beginning when chaos wave was slow and fecking awesome. They always change spell effects so they look wimpy and like shit. I mean shadowbolts look like some embers wiggling away, i dont get it :)

One day survival will get a rework. I honestly wouldn’t hate if they became a different kind of mid range class. Maybe something with turrets or more trap focus or something. But the fact is survival and a few other classes need a rework before the top 5 dps specs who’ve been kill charts for months now.

I agree, that or remove the awful limitation of the weapon that survival hunter can only use polearm. So stupid imo, let them use different two handers or dual wield. I think that would be sweet.

never let go, we have never received appropriate reparation for losing what was our spec defining ability, and now with the loss of netherportal its further insult to injury - they could easily glyph tyrant into metamorphosis as a choice node for locks that want it.

The rework should have brought Demon form where you sac all pets for power to be a demon again. I dont mind Zoo-lock, but I miss Demo. And before anyone says, its not the same as metamorphosis for DH atleast lore wise. I just want that back bad man.

Is it just me or is the Demonbolt HUD proc effect so.. underwhelming? Compared to other classes/specs, I almost don't even notice when the Demonbolt HUD effect happens.. there's no sound, or animation/flash, and the colors are so.. homogeneous that it most times blends into the world; ultimately meaning I rarely ever notice it when it procs.

@@smokinbu4892 Affliction has already gotten work done and it looks pretty good imo. Considering maining it since hunters are getting completely ignored. It still has some issues, but not nearly as bad as hunters. The destruction rework is on the horizon I thought? Didn't Blizz already say they were changing theirs too, whereas for hunter they said "no changes to come" lol.

And yeah, the destruction rework is coming also, i just hope they listen to the feedback, destro really needs big improvements especially in the talent tree, to be fun&significant again. Survival hunters be like, "am I a joke to you?" You thought demo was bad with 10 two point nodes? Survival has 14 man. 14 out of 36 nodes. Demo only has 10 out of 42 nodes. So less then 25% while survival has more than 33% of its tree and that's not counting spending 2 talent points in mongoose bite cause you can't avoid raptor strike, which should be baseline.
