Heeyyyy CP, it’s that time again because you made a wonderful story and I’m crying :D /Spoilers So Rue was forced to grow up fighting, and Lucifer was born being hated. Two cursed people meet each other, ay? This is really a story with the perfect amount of angst. Rue gets a brother that he loves dearly, and he wants his brother to be able to fight so he doesn’t get beat by the parents like Rue does. But of course, because Zach is innocent and younger, he doesn’t see this logic. All he sees is his brother preventing him from having any freedom, so of course he runs away. And Rue bears the consequence of it. I don’t know if you said anything about what happened to the parents after this point, so I’m gonna assume they lived without both their ‘sons’ the rest of their miserable existence. F them, hope Rue sees them in hell. Damn, of course their first meeting will be interesting. Rue is cold and only cares for Zach, and Lucifer has had no one his entire life. The way you showed the knife being thrown at Rue, and then at Lucifer was epic. Rue dodged that no hesitation and threw it right back. AND Lucifer didn’t notice until he had to dodge. This is deffo gonna be a power couple, that’s what we like to see :D I’m glad Zach is happy with his new family, but he really didn’t think of Rue at all? Does he think Rue got those scars only from fighting other people? I’m sure Rue said ‘fight well or our parents will beat you up’ right? Does Rue end up taking the beating for Zach? Because little bro seems like he still has so much rebel in him and spirit, unlike Rue who’s kind of just…. done. I don’t know. I really hope one day Rue can sit down and tell Zach what his experience was like instead of just telling Zach not to have friends or do this or do that. I think Zach just wanted to understand why Rue thought like that. Enough about Zach, I want to talk about Lucifer and Rue. I love Rue’s attitude. He’s straightforward, and when Luci tried to make conditions/adjustments to the deal, Rue immediately just said he would walk out. Clever But even Rue can’t see through all the schemes Luci cooks up, so of course Luci kisses Rue to seal the deal. So I guess the condition is Rue must kill Lucifer, and in turn Rue will die two days afterward? And there’s otherwise no time limit because Lucifer wants to die, but won’t make it easy for Rue? In the middle of this, I was glad Rue found his brother. But again, Rue sucks at explaining or being able to use his words to convince, probably due to his background and that he’s more versed in fighting. So of course Zach thinks Rue means their parents’ house.. Rue’s grown an unhealthy habit of relying and basically hyper fixating on what he wants, and he doesn’t trust the family so of course he thinks bringing Zach to Lucifer’s house is better. Zach drives his safety instincts insane, of course he threatened his friend. You know, Zach? You’re the source of your brother’s happiness. Look at him. I don’t blame you too much because he did threaten your friend, but. And here we go. Luci’s gonna get the antidote for Rue to give to his brother, but I didn’t expect Rue to use that chance to stab Luci. Like I know they have an agreement to get Rue to eventually successfully murder Luci, but damn that was so quick I blinked and it happened. I’ll have to rewatch to be sure, but Luci had those eyes that meant he wasn’t on guard, didn’t he? And as soon as he retrieved the antidote Rue took his chance. Rue’s so smart and sneaky, I love him. Maybe in hell, Luci has all eternity to teach Rue to show more of his emotions. Rue knew he’d sealed his fate, and maybe the only thing he wished for was more time with his brother before he leaves. And now is where I try to stop my heart from beating so painfully I can’t breathe. I swear, you’re amazing at making just the right amount of angst into your stories to hurt, but it’s still such a satisfying ending. I’ve never seen Rue have the light in his eyes, but I imagine right now they’re so, so dull. He knows he’s about to die, and the only thing he wants is to reconcile with his brother before he leaves his life. Zach might be suspicious of his intentions, but Rue is still his big brother who tried to look out for his little bro in the only way he knew how. Awww. That smile breaks my heart, I can imagine how sad and bittersweet it is. Zach talks so hopefully about Rue maybe living with his new family, only to be crestfallen when Rue says it’s not possible, although that sounded nice. I keep imagining Rue had a flashback to Lucifer’s dead body in their own house, and how it’s been two days already. Don’t tell me Zach left Rue by the tree for more than half a day… f. Zach just got his hopes up for both of his family to be together, and maybe he and Rue could have bonded as actual siblings, when that dream got crushed at Rue’s blunt words. It feels like the weight of the world is on him when Rue says this is the last time he’ll see Zach, right? Rue can’t even be introduced to Zach’s new family properly, all they can do is hug. A very reluctant ‘please don’t go’, but Rue knows his time is already up. I know why Rue doesn’t tell Zach anything about the devil deal, but it just breaks my heart because Zach just lost his big brother without really getting to know him. I think his new family will help him heal from the sudden death, though. And now Rue and Luci are together in hell. They look wonderful as devils, and honestly I want to see some upstart demon try to say the Queen of Hell aka Rue is weak, only to have his tail pinned to the wall by Rue’s knife. I’m very excited to know that there will be a second part, although I really have no clue what you have planned. Thank you for another well crafted story that brought me a lot of pain, but I loved this story a lot. I just. I hate how the story came to an end for the brother that fought to keep his little bro safe, and the little brother who didn’t understand his big brother’s ways and fought for his version of freedom. I just. Agh. Looking forward to your next project :)
