Demons Row big homie you’re killin on theses topics, I’m steadily sharing you’re shit so more people can learn this ain’t no game of dress up out here this is real life for our culture. So many people been watching to many tv shows and the wrong people tellin them about how to join a club giving people false info and false hope. Glad someone is keeping it real on here for the diamond patch holders.

I´m not a biker, I´m a musician. Had the pleasure if playing for our local MC regularly, clubhouse gigs, Rallys and even their anniversary event. The guys always treated us well and made sure we had everything we needed (drink, smoke, even a ride home if required). We were told the rules before our first time in their clubhouse then added a few for ourselves to follow, all bands in such a position would be wise to do the same. We always left any of our girlfriends or band hangers on at home, no unnecessary people in the van, we dealt with the club member who booked the band and the one or two guys we had known for years. Like you said, respect is key. Do right by the club and they will do right by you.

Same experience. I was treated like a king (almost uncomfortable) I DJ'd many of their parties. Respect gets respect. I ride and have ridden with them as well, so maybe I might have had a bit of an 'in'.

Very similar experience - we didn't get told of the rules up front, so we had our GFs with us - but very quickly the ladies of the club let them know certain rules 'Don't go to the toilets alone, take one of us with you', we also had an Indian guitarist in our band, the Club was ostensibly a 'racist' club - however we had one bit of advice which was 'It's not if you are white, it's if you act white - so get on stage, shred for them, show them you aren't afraid and you'll be fine' - which is exactly what happened. Had a couple of good gigs with them and another MC (different Bands). The fact we were in our late teens/early twenties probably also gave us a bit of a free pass in terms of we were young. Would definitely play at any MC club again - great fun.

Back in my early twenties (a very long time ago) I worked with the President of a MC club in the UK home counties. The club had a lot of connections across the US, Ireland and the Netherland's. I drove an orange VW Beetle and didn't own a bike, but I used to get invited, by him, to pubs that the club would take over for the evening. Two guys on the door would dissuade any none club members from entering. Landlords were tolerant because generally, the club would visit each pub only once a month and spend a fair amount of money on beer. I would always sit at a table with the President and his lady, whenever my glass was empty it would be replaced with a full one. I had to drink slowly because, although drink driving rules were more relaxed back then, driving drunk isn't funny. I got married soon after, left that place of work and lost touch with the club. Some years later I was working in Florida and happened to be drinking in an 'Irish' bar. Someone kicked off about the 'troubles' in N.Ireland (this was the late '80's) and I could tell I was about to get a kicking from a bunch of Irish Americans. Three bikers walked in to the bar, large, hairy and heavy looking. I actually thought I was about to die. They picked up on my accent and wondered over to ask if I was from the UK. I said yes. What part? I told them. We talked about UK roads, pubs, history and culture. They were well informed. We established that they were familiar with the county and town that I lived in. Do you know a club called ### ?. I said yes and mentioned the President, who, apparently, had quite a fearsome reputation. They knew him too. The world is a small community from the back of a bike. These guys looked around the bar and asked me if I would like them to walk me to my car. I am now in my late fifty's, I never really understood why the guy I worked with used to invite me to club pub nights, but I am very glad that he did.

@Steven Carty you put it very well. Many don't even respect their own things or themselves. Bitd we were taught to be respectful of our stuff and our elders. You pushed it, mama, daddy, granny, auntie whoever took a switch to your behind. At family or friend gatherings, the elders fixed their plates first, then the parents and then the kids. You also had to and wanted to go play outside, nothing to do in the house and you better not be running and loud in the house lol. These days that's all called child abuse. Kids AND their parents who I consider part of the younger generation (I'm 50) have no consequences for their misbehavior. Every misfortune is somebody else's fault and there's absolutely no personal responsibility anymore. Here in 2021, I'll take it a step further and say my piece about masks and business shut downs. I have lupus, so I'm in that high risk rona category. Yet I take responsibility for myself and wear a mask if I have to go out. I don't want or expect anybody else too. Just like I don't want restaurants to close up or have to seat at 1/2 capacity because I MIGHT want to go there. That's up to me. I'll also put forth that imo it's the right of a business to serve whoever they want or not. Don't want gays, blacks, whites, etc., that should be up to the owner if it's privately owned and funded. That owner is the one taking that risk of being burnt out or nobody shopping there. It's up to me whether I want to patronize it or not. Unfortunately cancel culture doesn't see it that way. If they don't like something or find it offensive, it's not allowed to exist. Hitler felt the same way about Jewish people, books he didn't like and didn't want citizens to own firearms. How'd that turn out? I see our great nation (USA) going the same way.

R/ ... Couple of things I noticed. 1. A 1%er clubhouse (ex Crossed Pistons Saloon) is NOT the place to find out you can't hold your liquor. So yeah, support the bar with VOLUNTARY DONATIONS (this is how 1%ers get around not having a legal liquor license) and yeah, you better believe that you are EXPECTED to pay for your drinks in the form of a DONATION and make sure it is a decent donation, don't even think about going cheapskate. In fact, go a couple bucks over what you would usually pay for a beer or liquor and tip good too. 2. This might be a little thing a lot of people overlook but when attending a 1%er clubhouse for example during an open house or party or whatever, they will have some HANG AROUNDS or PROSPECTS whose job it is on that event to protect: 1. Patch holders bikes 2. Probate bikes 3. Hang arounds bikes 3. Guest club bikes 4. Visitors bikes in that approximate order and also look out for cops, other hostile clubs, etc..… In other words, your bike will be protected and looked after. If you have the kind of bike that uses keys in the ign, you can keep the key in the ignition because the hang around or prospect will make sure your bike is protected...that is their job. By doing that....you are clearly demonstrating to the Club that you respect them AND trust them to look after your property, ie, your bike. Some clubs might take a little offense if you feel the need to slip your keys into your pocket that shows you don't trust them. It is a little detail but some Clubs might notice. 5. If have a concealed carry permit in your State and you do carry...lock it up in your saddle bag. If you don't have a saddlebag (like if you have a bobber or something like that...) let a Patch know right away that you are carrying, preferably BEFORE you enter the Clubhouse. Most have rules against bringing firearms into the Clubhouse unless you get specific permission from a Patch, usually the Security Officer or Sgt at Arms. You advise them right away and they will take care of it....either lock it up in a save place and let you have it back later (like in the old West) or whatever. If they "discover" you are carrying and you handn't told someone first, there will probably be some 'spainin' to do, you don't want that. Knives are OK. And, of course, DO NOT EVER bring drugs into the Clubhouse or anywhere near it...What, you tryin' to get us busted, man? Ru a narc? WTF is wrong wit you. Get your ass outta here pronto! … or worse. Good video, good tips. R/ ps...Also there is usually a jar on the bar for Lounge Lizards (a member in jail) like a support jar...It is always appreciated if you throw a ten or a twenty or so in there before leaving but it is not a "requirement." Also, the members will appreciate it if you bring them a fresh bottle of GOOD liquor (no cheap stuff) like Crown Royal or something like that for the bar but again, not a requirement.

Wow... What a tuff topic, this one. It was a real good "overview". Of course though, there are so many different circumstances to party at an 1% House. Here are some of my thoughts to add to the discussion: Open to the Public Party (ie: Toys for Tots charity Christmas Party) The Members know a lot of the folks coming don't know local protocol, and understand the truth about Clubs in general, people don't know all the little things that can be seen as disrespectful, in fact P's and SAA's will remind the Members to be chill and encourage everyone to have fun... So enjoy the party, spend money (it's for a good cause anyway) just don't bring weapons, don't get silly drunk, don't be stupid. That's about it... And don't tell stories about your uncle that use to be in such and such club. When invited by a Member to come to a party: If you're invited to a 1%er party that's not "Open to the public" event. That Member that invited you IS RESPONSIBLE for EVERYTHING you do. Know his name, if asked make sure you let the Members know exactly who invited you, he's your sponsor. He should let you know what's cool and ain't cool. That's it. If you don't know...ask your Sponsor... And show all the Members the same Respect you show him... Also, consider it an Honor if a Member invites you, what that tells everyone is that you must be a decent enough dude (or couple) to be there...it is an Honor...so enjoy. A passive invite as part of a club: This is when you're from a Club, and a Member casually said "Y'all should come kick it at our Clubhouse sometime" or some shit like that: So you throw on your 99 cut or whatever and decide to just go because you're bored and want to check it out. That's cool and all, but it's these times you don't want to show what a badass you are... Be cool, and enjoy yourself with great measure, is my advice. Some extra shit: 1. All protocol is local, if you're from outta state, the same rules may not apply. Better to ask first then learn last. 2. You're a man! You are Responsible for you! If you bring your dumb friend, you may do everything right, and still get a pounding for bringing that dumbass friend. Know who you are bringing to this type of party! 3. This ain't rocket science or a test... Just be smart, be respectful, and have fun... You may be surprised in a great way. No one wants drama in their house...don't bring none. Sose does great work on these videos, some topics can really open up a huge hornet's nest of responses and questions. This is definetly one of those topics. Great work! Much Respect! TNGN!

This is actually accurate. You touched base on everything. Also you left out don’t stare at a 1% and don’t look all awkward. Looking around the clubhouse like it’s a museum (and it is) will probably get you caught up. women should never try to shake a members hand. Most members are pretty cool but they can switch on you in a second. So never let your guard down to just think you can break any of these rules because that’s a bad mistake. There is always broken glass and fire works. Members like to throw bottles of glass on the ground to mess with the probates and sometimes even light fire crackers and throw them around the bar. It’s a good time over all and MCs are very hospitable. There will always be a really good food spread for free. All you got to do is buy drinks or merch. Just support and don’t be a class clown or the tough guy and you will be fine.

Going to be honest. When I was about to enter the local (or any) 1%er clubhouse for the first time, I was nervous, and excited at the same time. I'd heard stories about what they were like, and I didn't know what to expect. But ultimately, it was one of the best nights out I'd ever had. They were very welcoming, no one there was a dick, everyone was open to talk to you, and it was just awesome. Much prefer going to a clubhouse open night than a regular bar elsewhere. Just treat everyone with respect, and you'll get nothing but respect back.

On the "hugging" of a 1%er. What has been working for me for the past 20 years has been, place one hand in the "arm wrestlers" grip and your other hand on the arm (tricep) of the individual. Turn your shoulder towards his chest. You will be in close enough to show the "love" but not disrespect the rear of the cut he's wearing.

I belong to a military MC. We have cuts, patches and rockers. The main difference is we had a diamond patch made that says .5% the area around our base has a dominant MC and they're well known(I won't say who!!) Their Sargent at arms approached us very respectfully and asked about us, we told him who and what we were. He asked us to come the next Friday to their house for a sit down with the president and VP. We showed up and had a mafia style sit down, everyone on both sides were extremely respectful with each other. Once we explained that we're a military crew and not open to civilian membership they were absolutely fine with us!! Unless they had club business going on, we had an open invitation to all their gatherings......RESPECT FROM BOTH SIDES GOES A LONG WAY!!!! they asked about our .5% patch. We told them that of all the people in the military today, less than. 5% were special operations. The requirements for our crew is to be active duty military and be spec ops(SEAL, SWCC, EOD, Recon,Rangers or air force special ops)

GREAT advise! I'm just a fat old hag, and a total nobody but, I've been riding for over 35 years. I've ridden with almost every kind of biker there is. Even a few 1%ers and 99%ers, whom some ended up being like my adopted Son's. And I've loved each one of them as much as a Mom can love her children! I've always been a HUGE supporter of the 1% and 99% clubs! Along with numerous other MC clubs! And, although I've been to quite a few of their gatherings and events they've had throughout the years? Never did I ever have one single problem, issue, or trouble of any kind. In fact, I've always been treated with nothing but kindness and respect, every time I was there. Still, I don't make it a habit to be at every event, function, bike run, party etc. they all have. In fact, it's pretty rare I go to those gatherings. I'm not a know it all about this topic either. But, from my experiences, things I've seen throughout the past 35 + yrs? I think you did an amazing job explaining this to anyone whom has never been to a !% or 99% clubhouse! And/or event they have. And, if someone watches this video? They will never have any problems going to a 1% club! Great job Big Guy! I a lot hope people watch and learn before they decide to go. MLL&R to you Sir!
