Hey sose...I'm in no way hatting...just curious what has made the mask at this time the price that it is? I know inflation is a real bitch...but what has made the mask cost a C note or what I like to call a orange feather? And I say that cause a C note, which to those that don't know is a 100 dollar bill, but all C notes have a orange feather on it. With that said...I have an ideas of why that might be...it seems tougher or looks tougher than your low level things that might look good but is cheaper materials. It also looks like the strap mylight be leather too...and as well I know your in a different location than me. Me being outta Dallas and the TX area I know there is goin to be a much different number on the economic side of things. In just always try to expand my mind on things and or the current situation around me and what I am involved in....when one has proper knowledge they ride with precision and solid form...as well as help those around them do the same...if the other doesn't want to be the dumb potato in the group. That said keep ridin like pro. #ghostin

I saw way too many Sons of the Legion members of the Am. Legion Rider wearing military insignias of rank, both patches and pins on their vests they did not earn! They said they were wearing them in tribute to their Dad/Grandpa/uncle/relative. I immediately ended my membership in the Am. Legion!

The absolute worst thing you can do, as far as veterans are concerned, is stolen valor. Other things non-veterans should avoid is Medal Of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart or the Combat Infantryman's Badge.

Great advise as always. As 43 yrs on 2 wheels, the only advice I will give to new riders...if you are unsure..ask. Don't just 'do' and hope for the best. The key word in all of this, is 'perception'. As it is with non-biker society as well, it usually doesn't matter your intent, but the perception (by others) of your actions. Too many get themselves in trouble because they can't read a situation/individual or room. Life revolves around perception.. Cheers Always great vids/info...

(3:00) Proper punctuation is the key to good writing. Remember these three rules and soon you'll be writing like a champ! 👍🏾 The apostrophe has three uses: 1. To form possessive nouns 2. To show the omission of letters 3. To indicate plurals of letters, numbers, and symbols. * Do not use apostrophes to form noun plurals that are not possessives.

Another thing you might mention is stickers on your bike. Back 30+ years ago after I retired from the military, I was riding 20K miles a year and hung out with a lot of bikers when I lived in Ohio. I got to be friends with a lot of Outlaws and one of them gave me a small sticker that said "Support your local Outlaws". He said that would let them know I was a friend and to leave me alone. I made sure I removed it when I moved out west to Angels territory. Not sure if they still do that now but having one of those on your bike is a good way to get noticed by unfriendly types, so let riders know to watch where you ride and what is on your bike..

Thank you for this video. I've been riding since I finished my military service in 2011 at age 22. I'm 34 now and have been wearing a plain black vest for years. But just recently decided I really want to start adding patches to it as an expression of my life and experiences. I've been hesitant because I don't want to offend or disrespect anyone involved in an MC. Because I was involved with the Iron Order MC as a hangaround for a short time. But having seen this I feel much more comfortable wearing a three piece US Air Force back patch. Thank you brother

My dad and brother are both members of 1%ers and 13. Thanks to them I grew up in the biker communities, and have learned a ton. As a Marine Veteran who also wears a cut when I ride. Out of respect for my family's MCs, I got my patches custom made in their colors, as a sign of respect and support. But just like a guy earlier in the comments I too am 1 Marine Division and sport my Divisions diamond patch. And since I earned it, they let me keep it. Luckily for me the everytime I ride one of my family is with me. I would never ever disrespect any MC. You are spot on about the rules. ErrRah Semper Fi

There is one exception I can think of to the mc patches rule and that is if a club member gifts a patch to you. You'll probably be asked where you got it and why, and then that will probably be checked in to but if a patch is gifted to you it's generally not an issue for you to wear it.

Etiquette and being polite goes a long way. I have a EGA ( Eagle, Globe and Anchor) top rocker is Desert Storm Vet. Bottom rocker, Artillery ( my job in the Marines) Front over my heart are my ribbons, that I was awarded. Other side front, My the Marine Division patches. (3rd Marine Division, 1st Marine Division, 2nd Marine Division) I was getting gas one day and I heard "Take that f'ng patch off" I looked around and saw two dudes coming towards me. "Take off that diamond patch" Two against one, I was out numbered and they didnt look like they were happy. I took off my vest laid it on my bike, took out my knife and was about to cut off My 1st Marine Division patch ( Blue diamond with a red 1). One of the guys asked, " You a Vet?" Me: "yes," told him when and where I served and even showed him My Vet ID card. Dude then says "Keep the patch, you earned it" I told him that "I meant no disrespect" From there we talked for about 15-20 mins. I learned alot that day, and they learned as well.... they even invited me for a beer, but the is a story for another time.

I guess I'm the odd man out here. l always hear this give respect earn respect mantra, but my experience so far has been nothing but being on the receiving end of rude and disrespectful treatment from the biker community, especially from the Harley riders, of which I am one. Attending various events and rides in my area in an attempt to meet new people and hook up with other riders has only been met with cold indifference, and in one case outright hostility towards me at a poker run hosted by a ministry club of all things, to not even being able to get the smaller independent shops to service my bike. It feels like because I'm not already part of some group I've been shut out, but cant seem to make any inroads to finding others to ride with. Makes it pretty difficult to want to be part of this community because I love to ride. Been doing it for years and do it every chance I get but ffs some of the most intolerable people I've ever met have been bikers.

I was a hang around back in the mid 70's with a local HAMC in SoCal when I was in the Navy and was asked if I'd be interested in making the step up to being prospect. While I was tempted and really wanted to do it (I was 21 at the time) I decided against it. Not that I had anything against the club, in fact I enjoyed hanging with these guys and their old ladies but my job in the Navy required a Top Secret clearance and I wasn't sure how that would fly with the top brass. Two years later, I got married and moved out of SoCal. A few years ago, a dear friend of mine gifted me a vest with a US Navy patch on the back with a top rocker that says US Navy and a bottom rocker that says Veteran. Front on the right side has the years I was in (1975-1981) and my last name on the left side. Colors are black and white with an olive green border around the center patch. One would think after having been somewhat involved in a 1% club some 45 years ago I'd know the answer to this question but times and rules change over the decades. Would I be harassed by a MC if I was to wear this vest? I have no affiliation with a MC any longer and there is no M/C or 1% patch on the vest. I'm just very proud that I am a veteran and spent my Navy years in aviation...two aircraft carriers, and many other jobs in my squadron.

Thank you Sose for this one! New riders need to know. Wearing what you haven’t earned is just like Stolen Valor to a veteran. New riders can either feel safe or threatened around clubs by their own actions. Clubs just reflect what that new rider does or says. As an independent rider, if I wore any patches, they would be either veteran or sports themed. #ghostin

speaking of. Im hoping that there is no claim to a good old skull and cross sword Jolly Roger right? my biggest fear is putting on a sticker like a standard pirate flag, and then having some biker with an ego try and use my naivety on the subject to start a problem I wasn’t looking for in the first place.

Any tips for someone like myself how is a digital artist and may want to design some patches? I'm not a club member, I have friends and family in known clubs but none of them felt they knew enough about desiging to offer ideas. To clarify.. I do not want to modify key elements like diamonds. I did have some ideas for support gear. If I've learned anything from growing up around clubs and club members.. ask first and wait for an answer. Rubber on the road.. stay safe.

#Ghostin Hey hand, I have a question. I wear my unit patch that I deployed with to Iraq. It's the big red 1 1st Infantry Division. I deployed with Cco 116. Problem is it keeps getting mistaken for 1 % patch to those who don't know any better so I took it off. I'm in Indiana. Do I keep it off ?

Hey Sose, the USMC has patches predation any MC. I particular blue patches with red borders and writing memorialized battles where Marine blood was spilt. My patch says "IRAQ", and place where I shed blood with my brothers and some never came home. With respect, are you telling me that I can't wear a military patch that I bled for, that my brothers died for because it's diamond shaped?

I also wear my state on the front of my vest over my broken wings. I would like to know if it's ok and if I can add an ftw patch to my vest

Youll never have more fun than you do when you're with a group of three piece patches and 1%ers, and boy let me tell you, they show you what loyalty really is. Nine times out of 10, a 1% will pretty respectfully ask you to remove a patch if he sees that you're a new rider. Just do it man, you'll have a lot more fun hanging out and earning it than you ever will just buying it.

When I was a kid I was told I can’t wear a 1% ring cuz I gotta be a real one ! A Big Dawg ! And to do that i gotta earn it. And the tests vary cuz there real tests and there tests that a lot of people just wont go through with it and will never complete. When I was a kid I didn’t understand them but now grown up I understand. I’ll just keep that part of my life with them as a good memory. I’ll miss you guys wherever you are.

Cube on our cuts...I don't ride motorcycles but we got lowriders and my club is registered and certified thru the state...And we would NEVER put any patch that we didn't earn...my cut and tattoos are a representation of what I came from and been thru and what I've earned being in my organization since I was 17 years old...I got shot shot up at 19 Iv been stabbed twice and pistol wipped when I got kidnapped and tortured...I had brothers get shot and die in my arms....I'm 43 now in a wheelchair for life for getting shot up from a $3000.00 hit but VERY independent live alone I drive a lowrider on switches.... I'v been a tattoo artist since I was in middle school I draw, paints and air brush...
