Whats the difference in brocas aphasia and dysarthria? As in bothcase they are not fluent
@clinicalsnippetsbydr.soury5260Ай бұрын
Aphasia is a cortical disorder. It's a disorder of language but dysarthria is a peripheral speech disorder , it's disorder of articulation of speech. Fluency is maintained in dysarthria.

Yes this is helpful but at the same time, it is humiliating and traumatising for the patient and their family for you to make a video and treat them as a case. They’re already feeling depressed and frustrated, please think about it as well.

From Harvard to NEJM to STANFORD to lot of institutions over the globe this is an accepted audio visual tool to teach clinical medicine. All have been explained and consented for the same. From cadavers to standardized patients to real cases all are our teachers

It is fine if it is with their n their family’s consent. And kuch bhi nahi comment karte, my father recently got diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia, and a group of junior doctors surrounded him n kept asking him repetitive questions, coming one by one to see a ‘rare’ case, making videos. . Because he is unable to speak now he couldn’t say No, and as a 60 year old man, who himself was trying to understand what suddenly happened to his speaking ability, it was humiliating and lacked empathy. Atleast family’s consent is must.

@@clinicalsnippetsbydr.soury5260one question, is there only speech therapy that can help to revive complete loss of speech and no medicines in this case? We’ve been told this by certain doctors in Delhi and Mumbai. Wanted your take.
