Demonstration of Sunstream FL10014 Boat Lift with Tritoon Kit

Neal - hopefully this message finds you...what model of sunstream lift is this? How wide is for fitting what sized boat beam? My beam is 8.5 on my tritoon and I am being told I'd need the extra big 10,000# model for it to work and be wide enough...and that hardly makes sense? Can you help with your insight asap?!

Do you know what the width of it when fully lifted? Wanting to know if I can transport it on a trailer and what the width will be when doing so

First, I recommend that you contact Sunstream and get their input. I have gotten good advice from their service dept. Out to out in floating position is 143”. The floats are only secured by a few bolts and if you ship those separately, the out to out dimension is 101” in my configuration. I think it possible if you hoist lift with a crane, the floats may flop down since they are hinged. In this case, the width would be close to 101”. I do want to warn you that the components are heavy. A fork lift or crane is recommended.

@@nealhennegan6979 I have a tilt deck with a winch, I was thinking about winching the items up my trailer after disassembling. A guy needs this exact model moved and I want to do it in the safest way possible, thank you for your measurements and getting back with me I really appreciate it.

Hi, Neal- same issue, sold my ski boat and got a tritoon. I've had my floatlift 6000 since 2008. Any advice, part #? Cost? I had hard time get anyone on the phone at Sunstream, when I have, the service dept by far are the best. Thanks

I'm afraid Customer Service at some companies is going by the way of the buggy whip! I dealt with a very good rep in 2019--Josh Smith ([e-mail]). Not sure if he is still there. I purchased 1-"Tritoon Bunk Kit SL6/7/8/10 (SA-PB317)" and 4-"Channel Bracket3, Bunk (44-000001-12)". Total cost with shipping was around $3,700. It took me about 6 hrs to remove existing 4 bunks for V-hull and install new 6 bunks for tritoon. I considered designing my own modification, but happy I chose this kit. Quality is very good as with the rest of the Sunstream lift.

what was the issue with the V lift?

I like the V-Lift concept, but lift is not very robust. System relies on positive air pressure to remain up. Floats are made of plastic and can leak. I had to use plastic welding kit on occasion to fix leaks. Valves can also leak. FL10014 is based on permanent floats. I wanted a system that I can leave for weeks at a time and not worry about it. If you can keep an eye on the V-Lift, then I would be OK with it.
