i’ll loan you the $30 to grab one on the used market. you’re good for it.

yep, got the same version, and it's killer. I also used it non stop in my chain when I was gigging into a pair of clean Fender amps, and that's me done pretty much

My gold standard overdrive, also the pedal I played in Jr High & Highschool, from 83-89. I wish I still had it.

Great recording/studio pedal! The sounds you got were killer. Boss is rad.

The difference between the two models is the "good" opamp one uses half of a quad opamp for the input/output buffers. The model you have uses transistors for the buffers. That being said, they both sound excellent to my ears.

OD1 is one of the best pedals ever, but they are not for everyone. Its one of the best pedals for heavy metal players used to tight the tone and give it more life, push mids in front and above all focus. There are still players who use it in their studio up to this date.

Dude. Please channel all of this incredible talent and creativity into making something I can stream, buy, download, or whatever. The demos are fantastic. In fact, I'd love to see what you could do with my personal rig, but the songs you create are actually so freaking good. Like, come on.

What a thoroughly usable pedal! The sounds were banging! Less is more. The dynamics issue would be annoying though...

and that’s just a preference/playing style thing. i have a number of friends who would rather tap dance on their boards before touching their volume knobs.

Boss needs to reintroduce this pedal because the world doesn’t have enough tone bypassed overdrives
