Does this song relate to the longing for Alatsata which had to be left behind during the exchange between Greece and Turkey in 1923 (Mübactele)? This song touches me deeply. I read about Domna Samiou this morning and I will find out more about this wonderful woman and singer. My parents called me 'Corinna' after the Poet Corinna from Tanagra. In Germany in 1954 this name was subject to approval by the German authorities. I am deeply greatful. Thank you.
