I sincerely appreciate this information. It may be a year old but I got sick with dengue when I went to go see my father in Mexico. I came back to the states and I had no idea it was in an incubation period and all of a sudden I came down with it. It helps me understand where I’m at and treat it at home.

Wow, excellent presentation, very informative I just got from a vacation from my home state to Mexico and last Thursday, I started to feel sick, I was out for the next 5 day, and today I feel better but still feel weak. Listening to your presentation made me feel lucky that it could have been worse. It's good to know that there is a lot that can be done, but knowledge is power, thanks for sharing.

Dr sb, your videos are no doubt very informative. I have have requested about your expert advice to those who had dengue almost two years in past as 2nd dengue is more & more serious than primary. But your reply is awaited. We listen your videos regularly. Kindly reply. Dr Muhammad Zareef, Ph D
@MedNerdDrWaqasFazal
@MedNerdDrWaqasFazal 2 жыл бұрын
Dr M Zareef, past infection against a certain serotype of dengue virus confers immunity against that specific strain. Dengue infection in past has no danger. If patient gets infected with two different serotype at the same time then that is dangerous.
@mzareef4359
@mzareef4359 2 жыл бұрын
Thnx a lot Dr sb for your reply. No doubt past infection produced immunity against that particular strain. Kindly, my Question is if some body (who had dengue infection in past almost two years back) get infection from any other strain of dengue i-e secondary infection, Is that infection will always be more serious? and if so.. what special precautions he should take. Kindly reply at your earliest as here is almost epidemic in Islamabad/Rawalpindi. Regards
@MedNerdDrWaqasFazal
@MedNerdDrWaqasFazal 2 жыл бұрын
No M Zareef, that is not serious. As I said it gets serious when a patient has active dengue infection and has yet not recovered from it and gets a second bite from different serotype it can lead to serious outcomes. Your question that patient recovered from dengue 2 years back gets infected now with different strain; answer is it is not serious because patient has already recovered from one infection and is immune to that strain now.
