Deni doesn’t have the mindset of an allstar. He has the mindset for a championship ring.

Deni himself said his goal is to be one of the greats. I don't know why his Israeli fans always set low expectations for him. Learn something from the American basketball mindset. There is zero reason why Deni can't become an All Star if he decides to and work hard.

Deni is a super hard working player without off season !!! It’s for sure showing this year and at age 23 …. I can only imagine how much better he would be at 25-26 years of age ⭐️… It’s not easy to come to a new country with no family- friends and completely different style of game in the euroLeague… You can tell on his hair cut - the way he’s dressed that he’s confident jumped way up and it shows in stats but more than that … The things that every coach is looking for … the drive to become better and improve overall performance this year is a great example for what next to come . When you have security for the next four years, then you can relax when you sleep and give you all to the team …

It's Gaford too. Gaford isn't a bad player, but as he doesn't have an outside shot, he can't space the floor. This prevented Deni from driving into the paint.

Deni can develop to a Jimmy Butler level player if he works hard. I'm talking All NBA level player. He has unique speed and size, his handling improved this year, his pull up game has improved. Next steps for him is to master driving left and not only right, and learning to drive with craftiness and body flexibility. That would make him into the All Star territory.

Besides the obvious "improve shots", "better decision making" which can be said to anyone in the league, Deni really needs to improve his screen setting abilities. At his size, he almost never seems to make an efficient screen, which hinders his 2 man game. Another aspect is to keep working on step back threes, as now players often close his right way to much. He already creates nice separation on those, now it's just getting the muscle memory to make them, as he usually hit them short

@@gregbors8364 that’s understandable… but if we want to win a chip we can’t have no shortcuts .. the thing about Simon’s in a playoffs series if he doesn’t have it going he can get played off the floor because of his defense … why not just give the 2 spot to sharpe who could develop into a 2 that can score play above the rim shoot & play defense … I love Simon’s he’s dames protege I want him to succeed with us but I’m telling you down the line in a year or two depending how this year goes for shaedon the talks are going to creep up about him & simons & Portland just trying to bring in the new era with sharpe & scoot leading that team

I'm not convinced by the claims of Deni's significant improvement. While some point out his performance in February, it's important to note that's the end of season. The games don't matter, particularly with teams like the Wizards, who weren't in playoff contention. His role in the team's overall performance only led to 15 wins. What is his real impact of these inflated stats that don't translate to wins. Moreover, Deni has gotten no notable league recognition like an All-Star selection or even a nod for defensive player awards. All his praise is coming from random sources and nothing respected. This absence of accolades makes it hard to place him among the best young defensive players in the league. His peers don't even view him as such. This is a made up narrative. No top scorer in the league has ever said Deni was the toughest defender for them. While the comparisons made in the video are meant to highlight his potential, they don't seem justified when comparing his current achievements with those of the players mentioned, who have clearly established themselves at a higher level. I believe it's more realistic to view Deni as a solid contributor, though it's premature to expect more without seeing consistent performance improvements. This perspective isn't meant to undermine his potential but to temper expectations with realistic assessments based on his current track record. His been in the league since 2020 and we are still talking about his development.
