Pull yourself together doesn't work. Denise is right antidepressants are the key to wellness. Taken responsibly. She is a brave woman to go public and I am sure it will help many to seek help and not have to suffer.

Thank you Denise...i just wish i could find someone to believe me...i know my clinical depression is due to hormone imbalence...but they only think it's possible if you have postnatal depression..it hard enough beging digosed with depression as a teenager (i am currently 17 yrs old)..it took DR long time to dignose..they sent me to coucelling..told me not to come back...because my depression has no what they call "identifyable trigger"..they have given up on me..and so have I

gosh, this is light a light switch going on. I have panic disorder and had terrible pre mentrual disorder as well, all untreated for decades. I was a mess, an absoute mess..only since going through the menopause have I had time to think and be so incredibly calm compared to where I was..hormonal imbalance can be seriously overlooked.

@MeBenHalpin She was also a shrewd businesswoman and was also very witty. It would be good to see her and Sally at loggerheads again with Sally surprising her by telling her about her cancer scare last year and also about Sophie going off the rails. More interesting though would be whether Kevin would rekindle his romance with Nat.

Bring her back as Natalie in Corrie. She should buy the Rovers off Steve and that Becky and show everybody who's boss. In 1999-00, she was a very good landlady and had a bit of Bet Lynch about her.

@MeBenHalpin Yep, that's right. After Danny and Sal got together, Sharon became very depressed and actually tried taking her own life with pills and booze, but luckily Rita stopped her. Then she was surprised to see Ian back in Weatherfield and was quite angry at first, but they started talking and Ian kissed her before convincing her that he was a changed man. Eventually Sharon fell in love with him again and Rita bought the Kabin back off her, saying she could take the money and run.

@MeBenHalpin Actually when Natalie found out Ian was engaged, she did leave him but went back to him I think when he talked his way around but even then she didn't know it was Sharon he was marrying. I think Natalie was cursed because of her affair with Kev. She lost Des, found out her son was a drug dealer then he died too, her pub got raided because one of her barmaids was a drug addict, she sawherson'skillergetreleased and then her sister slept with Vinny, her then lover.

@MeBenHalpin I know. I am sure Natalie would be delighted to see Kevin's son Jack as he would by seeing her daughter Lauren. I can imagine them at least being friends because you never know, either Natalie married again or has a boyfriend who is a rich businessman. Yeah, I reckon she'd feel sorry for Sal but Natalie herself would have probably had many affairs since leaving the cobbles in 2000. She probably lived quite wildly.

@MeBenHalpin Yep, she certainly was. She saw right through Greg Kelly when she found out Sally was seeing him and she despised Ian for what he did to Sharon. I actually remember Rita warning Sharon about Ian and they had a massive row where Sharon had a go at her, saying she was a lonely old woman and jealous of her that she's got someone like Ian to take care of her. Rita then spent time on her own crying as she looked at a photo of Sharon when she was youngThatsgratitude4u. Poor Rita.

People shouldn't judge another person in a negative way, it's not right, go through depression yourself, go through the things this lovely lady has, then your entire viewpoint will change. Unless you've gone through something you have no right to judge a person as what they are going through could happen to YOU. None of us are perfect, there are two sides to every story, if more people had compassion, understanding, a caring attitude, a sufferer would find it easier to cope with a situation.

@MeBenHalpin yeah it is, but she didn't show any concern for Sally and why should she? They had a strong rivalry between them and Sally had expressed her rage at Natalie over the break-up of Sharon's wedding when she found out about her and Ian. Yeah, a partner from another wrecked marriage lol and yeah, good point about Kevin, he'd drink away the profits with his friends or maybe save some of it himself so that he can buy a place away from Weatherfield.

@MeBenHalpin Rita thought the world of Sharon and loved her like a daughter. In some ways, she wasn't as manipulative or as nasty as Jenny Bradley, just a little naive and foolish. I think Sharon was only violent towards Ian on their wedding day when she started hitting him in front of everybody but was only verbally vicious towards Natalie. Can vaguely remember her storming into the Rovers to have a go at the landlady. Even Sally had a go at her as well and said Des didn't deserve her.

@MeBenHalpin Sharon could be very insensitive aometimes. I remember when she was in the Rovers during Maxine's hen night and when she got drunk, she began saying that men weren't worth it and that Maxine was better off without them, especially when Ashley had come to see what was happening and then she began insulting Natalie, saying it was a bummer when some bitch ruins your wedding at which point Natalie angrily told her to get out. Before she left, Sharon did feel a bit guilty 4 Rita.

You know, i really like denise. I dont know why she gets a bad name. I think people with depression often do. Mostly they are just scared and introverted and people get them wrong.
@Banner1979
@Banner1979 13 жыл бұрын
@MeBenHalpin Yeah, Sharon didn't strike me as the violent type even though she did hit Ian. Can also remember them having a row after the whole thing with Ian having a go at her for not spending enough time with him and thinking about what he wants which is why he had his fling with Natalie who also went for him when Rita told her about Sharon and how Ian was going to marry her. Alan Bradley was the biggest mistake Rita ever made. She was well rid of Jenny, thank goodness.

She's not as bad as people say. I've quite liked her on Big Brother. Didn't agree with the way she has treated Michael, but she did apologize and still got nothing.

@MeBenHalpin Yeah, probably broken a few marriages along the way as well as date men who have already got a girlfriend lol. Yeah, who knows, maybe Nat can go into partnership with Todd's new boyfriend in running the Rovers and she can probably make Kev a sleeping partner seeing that he's now rich with all that lottery money. I reckon Nat would warm to Jack just as Kev did to Lauren. Can remember Nat being genuinely concerned when Greg took girls hostage in '99. She felt scared for them.

@MeBenHalpin She must be really happy. Maybe she's still married to Ian and has got a few kids or maybe they divorced and he left her with a kid or two while with another woman. Who knows? I can remember Sharon being a nuisance towards Rita, behaving like a proper attention seeker with the suicide attempt and she even wanted sympathy but Rita wouldn't give it to her. Nice one. Also, Rita was against her being back with Ian who told Sharon to sell the Kabin so that they leave withthemoney.

I think that her husbamd must be mad to stay with her, he should take the children and leave her, she is doing her level best to humiliate them by her outrageous behaviour, she is incredibly selfish and I can't even imagine what it must be like to share a house with this woman, does she never shut up? I feel like lying down in a dark room after just hearing this interview, no wonder Michael had to keep retreating to the bedroom in Big Brother, she must have driven him mad...that voice aaargh!

@MeBenHalpin She must have dated blokes like rich businessmen, wheeler dealers, bookies, loan sharks and the odd gangster lmao. Can remember seeing her first husband Nick in one episode where they buried Tony and he did share a few words with Natalie about their wayward son. Yep, she didn't know he was engaged to Sharon and so she put on an act of innocence when she stormed into the Rovers to accuse her of stealing her fiance. It was actually quite funny when Sharon called her bitch lol.

This women really does not know what she is talking about. I work in Mental Health and you should not take anti depression meds for long periods of time, you need to fight it in other ways. Taking cocaine and drinking will lead to depression. I know she says she took it to feel normal as she said, in truth it may have numbed her for a while but added to depression. I see SO many people who took drugs and years later fight depression. I wish her the best, but sorry nonsense.
