I lost my checked luggage traveling back from turkey to cabada after a fantastic vacation. Took me approximately 6 months for the airline to give me compensation for my lost items. If i were you, take a picture of what you're taking with you, including the suitcase. Insurance to cover for lost luggage may not hurt either. Have fun in your vacation. ❤❤

Chile I went to New York with my uncle and his family. First of all we were delayed for at least 8 hours then we finally made it to Florida around 8pm then we arrived to New York sometime after 12am just to find out our luggage went elsewhere. We were stuck in New York with no clothes for 3 days and we were supposed be there for 5 and on top of that it’s cold as heck. Fortunately my Grammy told me to put some undies, toothbrush and toothpaste in my backpack and boy am I glad I listened to her. I was 12 at the time so hygiene wasn’t really a big priority to me but I sure did learn a lesson. The airline was spirit btw lol

My bag didn’t come when I went to Maryland one year. They put it on the wrong flight. I had to make a complaint with southwest and wait for my luggage to arrive at the airport. They ended up giving me a $50 voucher I never used for my trouble.
