Omg shes so cute!!!😆. A bernadoodle is my dream dog. We live in FL and in my complex there is a lady that owns one that is black and white just like Bernie. Her name is Ava and she LOVES to come to my kids if she's getting walked and she sees us outside. She will literally pull on her own leash with her mouth basically walking her owner to lead her to my kids. That is what made me fall in love was just seeing how much that dog loves children and also how gentle she is with my boys. Congrats on your new family member, she is perfect 🥰

A couple of years ago, I had my hair that short like yours. I have very thick hair and it was just easier to do my hair in the morning. It would dry fast and I would just put a clip in it to keep it out of my face. I would get a trim almost every 4 to 6 weeks, to keep it at the length I liked it. Now it got to be too much getting a trim how many times a year. That now I am back to have my hair long again. You have one awesome nanny!! It takes a special kind of person to take care of children.

That puppy! 😘 Welcome Bernie! My sister adopted a juvenile female from the shelter who turned out to be pregnant. The facility let her stay with the family but she had a lot of check-ups. She delivered six healthy puppies in a kiddie pool in the living room! Now 3 years later all the puppies and their mom, Annie have a birthday gathering in my sister's backyard and I can't tell you how much fun it is to watch these guys reconnect. So happy that you're happy ☺️

When I was a SAHM, I made sure all the household duties (cleaning, laundry, bill paying, meal prep, grocery shopping, etc) were completed by Thursday evening. This allowed for family time Friday-Sunday and my husband and my date night every Friday night. Of course, basic pick up and cooking/dishes occurred but the “heavy lifting” things were Mon-Thursday. As for a capsule wardrobe and downsizing- I did this by turning all the hangers backwards on the rod, when I would wear something I would turn the hanger forward, indicating I wore it, after a season or 6 months, whatever of the hangers that were still backwards went into the donate box. I also folded all the clothes for drawers one way and when I wore them, they were folded the Mari Kondo way, and again after a season or 6 months, what was folded the original way went into the donate box. Footwear was basically the same- turned one way and as I wore them out back the other way (though daily footwear always ended up at the front door 🤷‍♀️). It’s tough to get rid of clothes for yourself, it’s either the cost or a special memory that keeps us holding onto it. I was ruthless with all my jewelry too, I bought cheap jewelry boxes and put all my earrings, bracelets and necklaces in them and as I wore them, they were hung on a necklace rack or a peg rack for the bracelets and the earrings in another box- after a year, what was in the original boxes was sold or donated to a womens’s shelter that focused on job prep; yes, there was some jewelry I kept that I rarely, if ever, wore like my original wedding set (we upgraded from our 20 year old broke life to where we are now), a mother’s birthstone necklace my young children gave one Mother’s Day, several earrings/necklace sets my older gifted me as a teen when he was stationed in Asia 40 years ago, my late mother’s wedding band and rosary and opal earrings I bought her for her 50th birthday and a few other well loved pieces I don’t wear anymore- those are kept in a special jewelry box for my daughters and grandchildren to go through later. Bernie is adorable! And she behaved so well while you were holding her. Thank you for showing that there are reasons to not get a shelter dog. About 3 years ago I wanted to get another Shih Tzu but for various reasons I didn't want a shelter dog. I think giving homes to rescues is extremely important it just wasn't a fit for me at that time. But as you stressed it is very important to find reputable breeders if you go that route. You probably already know this but you shouldn't let your puppy chew on your hands, or other body parts, at all. It's not a good habit for puppies to develop and it is difficult to stop the behavior once they become adults. That being said I know how difficult it is to always stop them. I couldn't even distract my puppy with a toy as I was her favorite chew toy. So I used a different method. For the most part she doesn't chew on people now but every now and then she forgets. And please, please, please also leash train Bernie. There will be places or times, like 4th of July, where you will want her on her leash. Sorry, I don't mean to lecture it's just stuff I feel strongly about. 🤷‍♀️ One more thing, did you know Parvo can stay on the ground for a year? So I am glad you are being careful while you walk her until she is fully vaccinated. I look forward to seeing more of Bernie. Could you please show a picture of her wet? My dog looks large, for her breed, until she gets wet then she is really tiny. 🤣

Good for you for saying this. I've re-homed three shelter dogs and all were very challenging and came with multiple issues which we worked through. When my husband retired, for the first time ever we bought a puppy from a very reputable, recommended breeder; they vetted US, lol) and the difference has been remarkable. We intend to adopt a rescue in 2 years time :) Also, as for the chewing, a top tip I was given, was never sit down without a toy in your hand, LOL
