I loved your video. I’ve never made an earring like this before. It’s a great new addition. What I would love to see is you or someone wearing it. It gives me a visual on how they look on. This would help to determine the size that would work on me, being only 5’ I tend to like maybe smaller earrings sometimes. After I make it of course I would know. It would help on the 1st time out on my 1st pair. Thank you so much for all the detail in the video!

Would gold plated wire tarnish? I use silver and gold plated wire but I’m afraid that it will tarnish for my customers. Thanks
@DeniseMathew4 жыл бұрын
yes, some wire will lose its plating and copper or the base metal will show through. What I do is I’ll make jewelry with the wire I plan to use and wear it for a while to see how it holds up. For more durability, silver or gold filled, rhodium plated, or even brass wire usually will not change with wear.

Where do you get your top drilled briolette beads? I'm a little new at this and am not finding a good source.
@DeniseMathew3 жыл бұрын
Lilly’s bead box is good also Etsy has a lot of good sellers, good luck in finding some beautiful beads. 😊

Thanks one other question! What brand gold plated wire do you use? I cannot seem to find a good color gold plated, what you are using looks perfect. Thanks again!

how do you wear that though? can you model what it looks like...

They hang like regular hoop earrings, they would look like the picture if you looked at someone’s profile.

Isn't 16 gauge too large for most ears? Just curious?
@DeniseMathew6 жыл бұрын
It depends on the piercing, if you’re making them for a gift or to sell, 18-20 gauge is a good choice. I only had 16 gauge available so I used it and it does fit my piercings so it worked, but you’re right it can be too big for some ears so you have to use what works for you. 😊

I like Beadsmith gold plated copper wire but there are other good brands. You can check out beadaholique.com they have a lot of good brands. 😊

Where did you get these beads from?
@DeniseMathew5 жыл бұрын
I like Etsy.com, www.etsy.com/shop/LillysBeadBox but there are other great sellers on Etsy too. I usually order a small amount of beads to check the quality of the sellers beads. Hope this helps.😊

Denise, these are really beautiful. Hey check out this rolling pin from the dollar tree in this video..I think it would work great on wire you could just slip off when making these earrings. It looks about the right size and for a dollar..wooo hoo. The video is by Kelly Barlow Creations and it is her latest video showing what she made out of the rolling pin.
