Hi Denise We appreciate you taking the time to review our products and provide feedback. First and foremost, we want to acknowledge that we did make a mistake in the quality of the wig we initially sent you, specifically Freda. We're truly sorry for this oversight and acted promptly to address it by sending you Hedda. However, we noticed that we didn't receive any response or feedback from you after you received Hedda. We then offered to retrieve both wigs, not with the intention of reselling them, but as a standard procedure to inspect and correct our mistakes. In your video, you intentionally pulled the hair behind the wig quite high, exposing the weft, which would happen with most wigs, regardless of their quality. We're continually working on improving our products and appreciate your insights in this regard. We genuinely wanted to collaborate with you before sending the wigs, and we fully respect your right to express any concerns or questions about our products. We value all feedback as it helps us enhance both our product quality and customer service. However, for a fair and constructive review, it's essential to base your assessment on an objective foundation. Your emphasis on our status as a new retailer raises questions about credibility. We hope that you would encourage constructive criticism and evaluation rather than dissuading others from trying our products. We're committed to delivering quality wigs and improving our services for our customers, and we value the input of our community, including influential voices like yours. We would appreciate the opportunity to further discuss any concerns or collaborate on a more positive note. Wish we could send this message to you in private, but unfortunately, you blocked us. Our goal is to provide high-quality products and create a mutually beneficial relationship with influencers and customers. Sincerely, VexoraWigs

I have to disagree with you. You did not even ask me about Hedda. The first message I received from you a week after receiving the 2nd piece simply asked for me to return it. At that point, you didn't know about any of these problems with the second wig so I have to wonder why you wanted me to return them. You just stated that you only wanted them back to study them, but why when you had no idea I was having problems with the 2nd piece? I was very conscious of just sharing the facts of the pieces I received. As for your comment about scrutiny... a new retailer should receive scrutiny. Especially at these prices, and a good retailer should be able to stand up to the scrutiny. I had no problem with the mistake on the first wig, these things happen. But when you sent me a second one that was worse than the first one, and then sent me a message asking me to return them without asking me any additional questions, that is when I decided I needed to share the facts with my community. If you noticed I also shared what was good about the pieces. And to address the wefts... I pulled all the hair up to demonstrate what NOT to do to judge a wig. But did you notice at the 5:43 mark how much you could see the wefts when I turned around to grab the other piece? I was not playing with the hair at all at the point and the wefts were extremely visible. Go back and watch that segment. I have been wearing wigs for 5 years and have tried over 400 pieces, I know how a wig should behave and I know how to play them them so you can't see the wefts. On this one, they were visible even when not touching the hair. Again, go back, to the 5:43 mark. If people decide not to purchase from you based on the facts I shared in this video, that is their decision. I never told anyone not to buy from you, I simply told them about my experience and the problems I had with a wig that retails for around $1000. This isn't a budget wig, and I should not have received TWO wigs with problems like these.

I would just like to add that there is nothing in it for me to put out a video like this. NOTHING. It would be a lot easier for me if everything was always wonderful. The thing is, I have never had to make a video like this. Not in FIVE years. The way you handled this caused me to share my experience, plain and simple. In order to spend $1000 with a company we have to have some trust. That is earned. The facts are that you sent me two subpar, problematic pieces. Then you tried to cover your tracks by asking me to send them back. How can I stay quiet about that?

@@heywigsisterso proud of you for standing up for yourself, and your community. Anyone can see how visibly upset you were near the end of the video, doing this video took real courage & integrity & I applaud you. A company shouldn’t be “improving quality” when charging those kinds of prices! The pieces should already be perfect, or as near to perfect as they can be! I’m so so sorry you were put in this position, but am so glad you were able to speak out. Well done 🩷 and PS you’re my absolute favourite wig reviewer, I’m currently going through chemo, lost all my hair, & you have given me such courage to try wigs, so a big warm thank you & a hug from the UK 🩷🩷

To the wig company, I think the blond wig is beautiful, I’ve been following Denise for a long time. She very rarely leaves a negative review. And even here, she is giving you the benefit of the doubt but so she’s not sure. I wish you well with your company, but I hope you improve your standards. Buying secondhand is always a better option when this is a concern. I bought a used full lace 613 off of ebay for $100. As an environmentalist I can't stand behind synthetic hair except for ones I've made from secondhand wigs or the weave I found at a bus stop.

Thankyou Denise. I bought a wig from someone in China by mistake. It was not good and when I tried to return it, they said it would have to go back to China and it would cost me to much. Then he offered for me to keep the wig and he’d give me a small part of the cost back. Finally I reported it to pay pal which I had used to make my purchase and they dealt with the seller and I got my money refunded. I now watch a lot of videos about wigs and I feel very vulnerable. So I appreciate your honesty and expertise. Keep it coming!🙏 got my money refunded.

I don’t watch many of your human hair reviews, because they are way out of my price range. But, I watched this one and I’m very thankful that you are such an honest person. There are so many scammers out there in retail. With the economy, the way it is, it is so important for us to know that we’re getting our moneys worth and you always, always give us the truth. I have been watching your videos for a little over a year now, in fact, you were the first reviewer I saw when I started doing research on wigs and hair loss. I am very thankful for you.

Denise, I just have to immediately say...God Bless You for always being honest in all of your reviews... I love all your valuable advice and information! Believe me, I was a China-Wig-Scam victim back in 2017‼I ordered my very first wig from an online company called "Wigsis." Being a novice in the wig world, I purchased a wig that was the most "inexpensive" of the sources I had looked at online. When I received the wig I was shocked... it looked like some cheap thing one would wear for a scary or hilarious Halloween look!! I tried to return it and get a refund, only to find out the "physical" address they gave me to mail the wig back, was non-existent!! Long story, short--- I lost $175 and I have worn the horrible wig once for Halloween laughs! I will NEVER ever trust China, especially for wigs!!! I'm soooo glad that you made this video, Denise, and hopefully, it will deter other trusting souls from making a huge mistake and losing $$$ ‼Love you and Bless you, Beautiful! ❤🤍💙

Girl, I really feel for you here. I could see your struggle. Many women appreciate what you’re doing here though and rely upon your views. So please know that so many DO appreciate your heartfelt honesty. Almost $1k for a wig with the wefts in the back like that - just no. And they are transient companies that simply change names and start it all over again. I truly try to limit anything from China in my household especially after the dog food scandal that killed pets 😢 and the toxic sheetrock from there. I read labels now faithfully, just wish more consumers would.

I purchased that Emma wig you told me about and mine was nothing like what you had - it was so much shorter and had almost no highlights at all! The lace is so scratchy across my forehead that it's unwearable sadly... I truly believe that even the "good" human hair companies, or more "honest" are sending you a great piece to review and what we purchase is almost a crap shoot unfortunately. I wish I knew more closely what I was going to get in offering up my honest, hard earned money that isn't easy to come by, but it's been a shot in the dark that hasn't had any return on for my investment. I just can't afford to find out anymore and be stuck with hair I have no way of getting rid of because it just isn't right for me... Great video D!

I couldn't have said it better. I'll be honest, I'm so torn because I get tons of emails and messages every day begging me to find budget wigs, especially human hair. So far, Emma Hairpiece has been the best find, but every day, there are new ones popping up, and as soon as they get enough bad reviews, they just change their name. It's terrible. I actually talked to Emma Hairpiece about this, and they said they are just heartsick over it because it is ruining the industry. They had some very interesting insights.

Our wig wearing community will always need reviewers who are brave enough to be 100% honest - like you! 1. I want to see our well-known wig makers show us a factory tour. If they are well made and they are proud of their product and how they treat the employees, they should be up front and want to show us. But this is the one thing I've never seen. They don't have to share trade secrets; that's not why I want to see this. I would like to know how the process goes and how the style is put into the wig. I want to be able to care for my wigs properly and I feel this would really help. 2. I would really like to see some YT reviews of the human hair wigs from Paula Young. The medium long wig is about $350 and looks really nice, but there are no YT reviews and only a handful of reviews on their site. 3. Like another commenter stated, I'm just not going to be buying products from other countries (if I can help it, anyway).
@heywigsister
@heywigsister Жыл бұрын
That is probably a smart stance. ALTHOUGH, I've seen a few comments that said that they never buy anything from China. Unfortunately, this is not possible with wigs. Nearly ALL wigs go through China at some point. They have such a corner on this market. I've spoken with a handful of US retailers that I trust COMPLETELY and they have all told me that there is no way to avoid China when it comes to wigs. They produce the VAST majority of the hair that goes into wigs, and even with synthetic wigs, most of the caps come from China, so even if you can find a wig where the hair was sourced elsewhere, it is likely some of the materials that go into the wig came from China. It is the world we live in right now.

I thought about that but felt telling people was more important than being afraid of that. The reality is that companies steal my image and video footage all the time as it is so they could easily do that even of a wig they don't sell. I always tell my community that if you see me in advertising for a company, check with me first. Temu is now using stolen pictures of me to sell their wigs. It is rampant. I get emails and messages from wig sisters multiple times a day with screenshots of stolen pictures. I can't even keep track anymore.

Hi so I purchased a wig from them and had both those issues with my piece. There was no way to tighten the wig and the wefts were clearly visible. I had watched a review by Amber from fabricating fringe, I reached out to her when I had these issues and she said she had no problems with her piece she had been wearing it for weeks and loved it. I completely believe that she had no problems with her piece. Vexora did finally offer to have the wig shipped back to them to add more hair and fix the visible wefts. I will let you know how she is when I get her back. As for the color style and quality of the hair I did really love her.

I appreciate that so much! I get a little anxious when I come to read the comments of these reviews. I try so hard to be objective and share the pros and cons, and let people make their own decisions from that. Some people would like me to be stronger in what I say about a wig that I don't think is good quality, but sometimes I see the drama in videos like these and want to be careful not to create it in my own videos. I also want to be careful about sharing personal opinions and preferences when I get a piece that I don't love, because we are all so different. In this case, the facts really do speak for themselves. I had someone accuse me of defending a company I recently reviewed a wig for because the color was awful. I spent a lot of time on the color, and even put up TONS of pictures from their website next to my piece to highlight the problem. I mentioned that it was a problem and that I was concerned. Other than the color, I thought the wig was great, the hair was great, the cap was great, the price was great. I had also reached out to a lot of women who I know owned one of their pieces to get their feedback and so I had that context about the wigs from that company as well (and they all agreed with me that the wigs were great but that they need to work on the coloring of the blondes). My words can hurt a company that may not deserve it, so I am always careful and try to just share the facts because opinions are just that, opinions. It's a tough balance. HUGS!

It might have been God saving me from more heartbreak. It’s so difficult wearing wigs and finding the right ones. Many of us have been ripped off & left very disappointed. I have been doing A LOT of research on Wigshe. I have gotten 2 pieces from them. The hair is great, the caps are great, the prices are great! The color, though... they need to work on it, especially with the blondes. I've reached out to about 10 women who have either reviewed a Wigshe wig or bought one and across the board people are happy with nearly everything, but the color isn't awesome, especially with the blondes. I think they have taken the feedback to heart and are working on it, but I've learned that when a wig comes from China, the one area they often (not always) don't excel is the color.

Thank you for your honest opinion, I appreciate it! They charge a lot of money for their wigs and it sounds like there are too many problems. It is not good that you can not talk to them, either.

I know some very reputable synthetic wig retailers who do not accept returns. This is a big red flag to me. Their claim is they check each wig carefully prior to mailing out. A friend received an expensive wig from them with a torn lace front. They did not want to make it right until we posted the problem on various wig talk communities. Buyer beware if they won't accept returns!

Thank you. Good analysis. I purchased an ebay wig from Chinese seller for synthetic. They used a big name brand in their ad title posting. I figured it was a knock off for the low price. It had some great qualities, but so problems that bothered me so much, I wouldn't wear it. At 1st they would only refund me 30% then 60% when I called them out for false advertising of using the name brand when it wasn't. They said it was in the description that it wasn't the actual name brand, but I don't see where they said that. Anyway, I wrote a negative review for it and then they offered me a full refund to revise my review.... So be careful when a company has all positive reviews online. If the price is too good to be true, it's likely not worth it.

I agree with this so much and have been thinking of making a video on this topic. I can't tell you how many of these Amazon sellers reach out to me to do a review, and they often say that they will refund me the purchase price after I leave a 5 start review! I always tell them that I will only leave an honest review and then I never hear from them again. Because of all these interactions I no longer trust 5 start reviews. That is so sad but I guess that is the world we live in now.

I haven't ventured into the world of real hair wigs but that was quite shocking. You would think a supposed new company would want to produce a quality product and not something like these two wigs. I would think a genuine company would go out of their way to produce something high quality and not thrown together with blatant errors like these two wigs had. Thank you for such an honest review and I have no doubt you've probably saved people a lot of money who might have been thinking of trying this very dubious company. Well done Denise.

@@heywigsister I enjoy your videos Denise and have learned a lot from you. My wigs are synthetic, mostly from Amazon and one from Shein. No more bad hair days. My only problems now are which wig to wear today and fighting the urge to buy more (not very successful with the latter) 😄

Honestly, this is way beyond my means, but I watched to understand your concerns and to educate myself. I believe you have identified some valid red flags and appreciate your honesty and ethics in drawing people's attention to the issues you experienced. I have seen reviews of cheap wigs where wefts could be seen, but it is shocking to me that that would happen with a $1,000 wig. I have never seen a review of even the cheapest non-branded wig where the adjusters had been covered up and rendered unusable. The knots being unbleached in the first wig and then overbleached in the second is extremely worrying. I don't personally buy the story that they're trying to improve; if they supposedly were selling to other businesses, they should have already had the kinks worked out of their manufacturing processes. The conflicting messages about your returning the wigs also struck me as a bit shady. While I wouldn't be able to afford their pieces, if I could, I would only buy from a proven, well established retailer anyway. The problem with overseas vendors is that they can disappear and resurface under different names and be impossible to trace. Thanks for sharing your very justified concerns and warning others to be cautious.

EXACTLY! This is a real problem and is happening constantly. I spoke with Emma Hairpiece about this. They are a Chinese retailer and have proven to me to be trustworthy over the course of the past 2 years working with them. They said that they are extremely concerned about how many retailers are popping up, and then disappearing only to pop up again under a different name. They said that they are ruining the industry for the honest retailers in China and I don't disagree. It seems as though the honest ones are in the extreme minority which is terrible.

You did a review on Wigshe hat wig. I purchased it & love it. Do you know anything about their regular human hair wigs? I have seen so many reviews and Im on the fence about purchasing.
@heywigsister

I think they struggle a lot with color. My sense is that the brunettes are generally OK, but their blondes never look like the picture. I reviewed a full wig from them and the color was awful, nothing like the picture at their website and I went in depth on that. I ended up doing some research and reaching out to as many reviewers as I could find who did reviews of one of their wigs and that is overwhelmingly the feedback I got. The hair is very nice for the price (they are budget) but the color wasn't accurate. A few told me that for the price they were fine paying to have it recolored, but not everyone will feel that way. My hat wig was also not the color I expected. It was more Auburn than Brunette, which I actually liked but still... I think they are taking this feedback to heart, and so I expect the coloring to improve, but only time will tell.

Exactly!! A wig should never show the wefts, I don't care what the price point it. The sad thing is that many women may not even notice the visible wefts in the back at first... this is a huge problem.

The problem is that most things come through China at some point. They have such a corner on the wig market that it is nearly impossible to get a wig that didn't at some point come through China unless you know someone who physically sources the hair, and then makes the cap and the lace themselves with materials that they also sourced themselves. I've researched this extensively and asked many trusted wig makers and retailers, and they have confirmed this. I have one who often sources her own hair but has to get her caps from China. I mean, even all the computer chips in our cars come from China.
