Finally got around to listening to the whole album, absolutely beautiful! Really needed this, was both tearing up at the melodies and headbanging intensely (Especially that end of Trapped Under Ice!). Love your bass tones, and there's such an amazing mix of heavy groove and beautiful melody, perfectly fitting the mood of Ride the Lightning. If your AJFA was the pure old school groove, this reminded me of both that and melodic death metal like later Death and the Swedish style. Great to hear Andriy and ERock too, and love the amount of "speeding train solos" as I like to call them! Really loved your Fade to Black, I was surprised how much the entire mood of the song changed, even more so than your version of One. Also love to hear more inspirational death metal with Escape, the most underrated song on the album and one of my favorite Metallica songs! I was looking forward to hearing how Call of Ktulu would sound especially, and it might be my favorite on your album, I love it more than Metallica's! The beginning melody reminded me of classic In Flames, and you created it into such a perfect death metal instrumental and that end guitar part really sings. Looking forward to hearing what your version of Orion will sound like when you do Master of Puppets, that's my favorite Metallica instrumental! 🤘 Happy 40th anniversary to this classic album (my first Metallica album, and favorite of their 80's albums), and I love all your music and your death metal especially is among the best in the genre! 🤘
