Honestly, I feel some people just love to hate and overanalyze everything. As long as a person likes it, thats all that matters. People not liking Makima, Denji, hype or the animation is not an issue. As long as you like it, theres no reason to stop watching it. You can't expect everything to be top tier in terms of every single aspect. If you do, you're an idiot. Its not an anime for everyone so don't bother about anyone else's opinion.
